Stupid design. I have (had) 4 of these and the latest one has a tiny cable (not even an inch) with a PWM extension. My other 3 arent like this. Ruins chances for clean cable management and aesthetics so much, Im returning the NH-U12S with extra fan and going with a different cooler.

I bought this fan to go along with the other one that came with the U12S cooler I had also gotten and the both of them have completely cooled my temps down and are ridiculously quiet.

in the end the black ones and the brown ones will both perform amazingly But if Aesthetics is what you want and you dont care about cable management then these would be ok. But I wish I went with the Brown ones cause these fans dont come with any of the adapters or cables!! Just stupid multi color pads. MY Fault as pics clearly show so not false advertising! Just me not paying attention and thinking more about aesthetics then function! and I regret it :(

These are great. I have just about all the fan changes out to noctua and it get quieter with each on I added even without using the low noise adapter. These are also cooling better than the original case fans.

I have 6 Noctua fans in a new build Im doing. They are so quiet I have to look to see that theyre actually spinning.

Replaced the stock fan on my closed loop Corsair water cooler, cpu is 10-20 celsius cooler under load. Fan is near silent compared to stock cooler fan, and (excepting gpu fans) is the only fan for my case. PWM was a smarter option than other 3 pin DC fans. Im sold on this company and their superior cooling solutions.

So far so good.

Noctua of course makes great fans. Great quality and the noise is limited. The rubber bumpers are a great addition as well and look amazing.

I just completed my new build, and decided to go with Noctua for the first time due to their stellar repuation. Im running 2x 140mm and 1x 120mm in my Define Mini C, along with a Noctua nh-U12s chromax.Black CPU cooler. The whole thing operates with a quiet whoosh on startup, nice and gentle. The fans have some weight to them and a little springiness when starting and stopping. All have been operating for about three months now without any issue at all.
