Brown Sucks. Or at least it dose in a computer case. The grey ones are not much better and they are sub standard fans. These are really great case fans. You give up less form with the black plastic and the multi color vibration guards are fantastic. You can have nice looking fans without rainbow puke. So is it all about the look no not really. They are super effective which can really keep the noise levels down and pump a lot of air. Now no fan can pull air through glass so your NZXT case still is a POS. The air has to come from somewhere. Go buy a Liam Li case I dont care which one and put great fans in it. Quit creating toaster ovens and baking your CPUs.

ok, so this was the last item I installed on my new PC build. They took forever to arrive (well Amazon forever.... 10 days). Anyways I just got them yesterday. I installed 10 of them in a Corsair Obsidian 1000D. 8 to suck air in through the front and 2 to suck air out the back. I also installed 3, 140mm sized fans of the same make and model on the top of the tower to suck hot air out. That gives me a total of 13 Noctua Chromax fans installed in my PC case. I also have 3 Be Quiet fans installed inside the case on the CPU dual tower air cooler. Thats 16 fans plus my GPU fan running inside the PC case.

Just silent. Replaced case fans and CPU cooler. Almost zero noise before GPU spins up. If they made a GPU cooler (not just the chip), Id buy immediately.

BLACK FANS FROM NOCTUA? Runs quiet-ish. Under full load they can get noticeably loud, not as loud as my last ones so i guess thats an improvement. Dropped my GPU temps a bit under load too.

Noctuas reputation precedes it, and its chromax line finally fixed the biggest issue with these fans, the color. With customizable rubber dampeners, this fan can make your pc look great without RGB. Could not recommend it enough!

Im so glad Noctua put out some fans that arent the ugly brown color scheme. As other people have said, the fans only come with 4 of each color, so if youre looking to have the same color pads on both sides of the fans youll need to buy some extra. For my build, I just used the black pads on the side that goes against the case and the colored ones (white) on the inside for looks.

Fan is quiet with no rattling noises.

I bought a Thermaltake AIO triple radiator and after about a year I started hearing some noises from the fans. I knew Noctua fans are supposed to be excellent fans but I cant deal with the brown. I was pleased to find these black ones.
