Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

The cooler keeps my R5 5600x nice and cold, though the fans dont as quiet as I would expect from a noctua product. An AIO with noctua static pressure fans would be the best of both worlds but you will have to cough up the greens for it. This cooler is quite bulky, it just barely makes contact with my side panel and vibrates it. Unfortunately I have to leave my side panel open otherwise the noise is too annoying.

Ive had this Noctua NH-D15 cooling my Ryzen 9 3900X CPU for the past year now. Have not had any thermal throttling, Idle temps settle around 39C, and under full load peaks at around 78C. If you have a current gen chip, unless youre overclocking this cooler will be more than enough. If you ARE going to overclock, Id recommend going with a liquid loop to cool your CPU instead. Otherwise, this is hands down the best air cooler Ive ever used.

This cooler keeps my AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU running silently and cool as a cucumber. It is superb. It is large however, and barely rests upon the top of my low profile RAM dim. You cannot use high profile RAM with it. Thankfully, top quality RAM makers make RAM that has high performance in a low profile package. I am using Corsair Vengence RAM which is very high performance (about as good as it gets) and this cooler gently touches the top of my right dim. My setup is excellent. The cooler is silent and cools stupendously. After one year of not cleaning my PC internally yet after I built it, it still keeps my CUP very cool (typically low 30s centigrade at moderate usage) and is absolutely inaudible.

I have been fighting thermal issues for a year now using a 240mm AIO. My i9 under load after overclocking would reach 90C+ on the regular. Since installing this and throwing benchmarks and gaming on it, I’ve yet to go over 70C in the same conditions. Absolutely incredible piece of hardware and somehow fit over my Corsair Dominator sticks minus the second fan, but even with heater of a CPU I don’t need the optional fan. Also please measure your case before buying. By sheer luck this fit in my case about a millimeter above my RAM and about a centimeter away from the tempered glass

Keeping my 9700K under control, idle 27-31C during gaming 35-44 C, when overclocked to 5.1 GHz idle 31-35 C and gaming 50-57 C ... At turbo speed in both.
