Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

I have an AMD FX-8350. With a different aftermarket cooler (that was a few years old and repurposed from another build) I was getting temperatures above 65 C while transcoding (CPU at 100% on all cores) and even playing some games (CPU at about 50% on all cores).

I like it overall. Installing was okay. Had to watch a video to install. This item does come with manual but doesnt show how to mount am4. But it does show how to mount am3 or Intel brackets. Comes with parts.

The cooler is big, so good for CPUs with multi-cores that tend to run hot.

Function over form. Throw your computer case under your desk, ignore RGB fad gimmicks and go for the best cooling you can get for a great price.

The best air cooler NH-D14 has been updated. Its the cool NH-D15 and I cant wait to install this bad girl. Its not just the products that sparkle in the lime-light of perfection but the customer support from Noctua is a gem too. The packaging is great (well packed and protected with minimal environmental impact). Ive ran a NH-D14 for over 8 years with no issues (heavy user). The choice of buying the NH-D15 was a no brainer. You only have to watch some of their trade show stuff to see how passionate they are about their products and you only have to see youtube to see how PC enthusiasts love their products. The only thing which is a little bit of a problem for some system builders is the colour scheme (brown and cream) which isnt bad (I quite like it) but its a bit of a giant opinionated statement... but Noctua listened and stepped up with the Redux fan line which offers replacement fans with a more neutral colour tone and are bundled with colour corner accents if needed.

Outperforms more expensive AIO water coolers, and is FAR MORE RELIABLE. Noctua is the epitome of quality and performance. This is simply the best air cooler on the market, period. See the thousands of reviews and benchmarks if you dont believe me. Worth every penny.

He probado muchísimos disipadores, tanto de aire como soluciones líquidas. Este Noctua es el único que me ha convencido completamente. Es impresionantemente grande, eso sí, si te entra en la caja, es de las mejores compras que puedes hacer: disipa muy muy bien, altísima calidad Noctua y muy silencioso. Incluso se apaga el 2º ventilador cuando no tiene carga. Trae la pasta térmica de Noctua, que es una de las mejores.

It’s too big for my mid tower sized case, but I can OC my processor from 3.6ghz to 4.5ghz and keep temps of 40c at idle and then 57c while gaming in overwatch, so I’d say it’s worth it, but you may want to be sure you have a big arse case unless you are okay with leaving the side panel off like I did :)
