I have a rental property. Last tenants had 3 dogs, 3 cats and cooked with unidentifiable spices, but the combination was horrible and even with windows open for days and days of cleaning - I could NOT get rid of the smell. My friend offered me the use of her machine, I was skeptical but had nothing to lose. I set the unit off in every room in the house. It was like walking into fresh air afterwards!!! I was so impressed with this machine, I bought my own. Hands down the best investment out there to eliminate odor.

This review is for the 9,000mg unit. If you are looking for a no frills, well constructed ozone generator that puts out what it says and then some...You can stop searching and order this machine. It delivers, period. I own a cleaning and restoration company that does flood clean up etc so I have a decent amount of experience with these generators and ozone itself. I use the technology because it works where it is supposed to. Most of the negative reviews Ive seen about ozone come from people trying to make it do what its not intended to do. I digress. Ozone is generated with electricity. That is the tell tale measuring stick to know if a machine is putting out the goods. This machine is listed as drawing 100 watts and that is strong. The fan in the unit is tagged as drawing .25 amps or 30 watts at 120v. That leaves 70 watts to generate ozone. (Yea yea, I know about efficiency losses etc but we are talking a few watts - 10 or 15 at MOST.) If a machine is claiming 9000mgs and its drawing only 30-40 watts total...lies! Flat out lies! It takes power to make ozone. You cant get something from nothing. The pleasant surprise for me was testing and seeing this unit draw 118 watts! Pull out 10 watts for efficiency losses and youve got yourself almost 80 watts of energy making ozone...and it does! Running this machine in a regular sized room running for a few minutes will blow you out of said room. Its that strong. Great for saturating an area and letting the ozone get to work. For the price of this machine, you cant go wrong. You should be paying $200-$300 for a unit that has this output and build quality. Home run! If there is one downside its that there is no constant on switch. You can only run the unit for 120 minutes at a time via the timer. It would be nice to have a choice between using the timer or constant on. For instance I wanted to let it run in a musty basement overnight and could not. For me, its not that big of a deal. Im going to just void my warranty and wire in a nice bypass circuit for the timer. This way Ill have a choice to have it constant on or have it on via the timer. Recap: Build quality - 5 stars. Ergonomics - 5 stars. (Very compact unit) Functionality: Does what it claims - 5 stars plus. Value - 5 stars plus Hope that helps someone out....dont waste your money on all the nonsense, this thing works and is built well.

I have had an issue with urine smells in the carpet for years, especially in the summer months. I used the machine on one 3 hour setting and the room smells fresh. So glad I purchased this. My husband had bought a truck that the previous owner smoked in and the dealership said they would get rid of the smell of cigarettes. The smell has been there for over 4 years and I used the machine for a 3 hours cycle and the smell in the truck is fresh now. Highly recommend!

It really works better than expected. I got this having high expectation based on the 4 plus stars and it did not disappoint. Unique Use- Kill BUGs I placed this in our home and set it for the max timer. I use bug stop every three months around the home and we dont have a bug problem but after the 2 hour treatment of the entire house the next week we were finding dead bugs for about the next 3 days. No its not designed to due that but it was a pleasant surprise. I use this in my cars now once a month for 10 minutes and the cars now smell fresher and less stale after each use once the ozone clears. Treating your home- if you can place it in front of the air intake for your central air and let run for an hour while your away for at least a few hours. Yes the ozone will be annoying for up to a day or two based on your air drafts and air movement but its great to know you killed all the crap. Stop questioning it and just buy it. It will exceed your expectations for output.

I read a lot of reviews and decided to try it.. shocked at how well it worked, I put it in my garage (24 x 22 with 12 ceiling) let it run 1 & 1/4 hours and let it sit over night and the next day aired it out, The garage always smelled musty and stale and now 5 days later, it still has no smell at all..

I used this to remove cigar odors from a newer car I purchased recently. It took two one hour sessions, but the odor is gone! Ozone machines seem to work better removing organic odors. Also used in my camper to remove a campfire smoke odor, this only required one 60 minute session and it was gone. We even use it to remove lingering food smells in our kitchen (we leave the house when it’s running) like fish and onions. Great little ozone generator!

Definitely cleans the smells out of the air. I have used it in the cars and garage and a few rooms in the house. And whatever smells that ere there are gone when it’s done.

No problems after three years of ownership. Most of the complaints I’ve seen in Amazon reviews appear to be related to improper use or unreasonable expectations. I’ve used it to remove various odors from a used truck that was previously owned by a smoker, to mildew/mold, to pet odors, to a backed up sewage tank. If the build quality isn’t industrial/professional I can’t imagine what is. Very well built, steel construction and the plastic bits are solid not flimsy. After three years I’ve come nowhere close to the 5000hr. lifespan of the plate, so I don’t know if it really lasts 5k hours. @ 5k hrs you could run this two hours a day, every day, for 6 years and 10 months. The only gripe I have is the timer. I wish it could run longer that 2 hours.

Works as described but did not meet my needs. Can only run for 2 hours (safety measure I assume). Used in home of 20yr smoker. Placed in A/C intake duct and ran for 2 hours (max allowable). Home smelled chemically (ozone working) afterward Aired home out 24h Smoke smell soon returned. Did not want to run excessively as ozone is corrosive and can damage metals/plastic. This was a small step in a long list of remedies... FYI for those wondering, in addition to ozone treatment I did the following: Removed old carpet 2x scrub all walls and surfaces (cabinets/vanities/floors) with TSP (you could see the tar dripping off. GROSS!) Painted 1x coat Kilz latex 2 Painted 1x coat BEHR Premium Plus Ultra Pure White Eggshell Enamel Painted /cleaned all doors Replaced door hardware (hinges / knobs) Ozone treatment Replaced all electrical outlets / light switches Replaced entire A/C ducting in attic; coated existing duct boxes with Fiberlock IAQ 8000; cleaned evaporator coils Currently installing new flooring

About a year and a half ago, I bought a very expensive Ozone Machine from Air Zone. That lasted about a year before the generator cells needed to be cleaned, which was quite a chore. Even after cleaning it didnt produce ozone nearly as well as when I first bought it. A couple of weeks ago I bought two of these small high-capacity generators. And Im very satisfied. Heres what you need to know: Buying two smaller generators is MUCH better than owning one large one. When I want to shock the entire house, I put one generator at each end of the house, set them for 3 hours and leave. If you have a specific spot youd like to shock, such as your bedroom; you can put one unit in there, close the door and treat the room while youre using the rest of the house. You can buy two of these for WAY less than youd pay for one premium unit. Granted, they dont come with a remote control like my Air Zone generator has. But frankly, who needs it? That remote sits in my bedroom drawer, I never use it. Buying two of these has turned out to be very practical. Each of these generators has one element (my Air Zone generator has two). Essentially, I have the same power as my Air Zone generator with a much greater flexibility of usage. Its too early for me to comment on upkeep (all ozone generators have elements that either need to be periodically cleaned or replaced). With the Enerzen, all you have to do is replace the elements. With my Air Zone, you have to take it apart and clean the elements (a lengthy process that doesnt really restore them to full capacity). Ive used ozone generators since 2001. I speak from experience. DONT buy a heavy-duty unit that sits in a centralized location in your home. Instead, buy two smaller Enerzen units that you can easily move around. To paraphrase a timeless expression: Two gens are better than one!
