> 3 dayThis worked wonders! My mother-in-law has a cabin, but the people who lived in it smoked inside the cabin for years. Now she has taken the cabin back and wants to use it as her second home. We used this and it has helped clear out that stench!! It is amazing what that little machine could do!!

> 3 dayOverall I love this unit. You definitely do NOT want to stay any where near it while its running. Its extremely powerful and has helped me deodorize a car that was odor bombed by a dealership against my wishes, as well as a stinky crawlspace, some old clothes I pulled out of storage, and even a new mattress. It doesnt work miracles, and may take multiple treatments before it has a significant impact, but its worked better than carpet cleaners, steamers, coffee beans, baking soda, enzyme cleaners, and just about anything else Ive tried. Ive only had two problems with it: 1. It had an extremely strong paint odor to it when I received it. So potent Id need to run it a second time if I left it powered off in a room for too long after application. The smell did fade eventually, but it spent the first two months being stored on a screened porch when not in use due to this issue. 2. It has no delay on the timer. Given the amount of ozone it puts out, this can actually be dangerous if you need to seal up a vehicle or tape off the gap around a door to prevent it from leaking into the surrounding rooms. A one or two minute delay option would be really nice.

> 3 dayThis ozone generator lasted only six months and a few weeks. It did the job of removing musty moldy mildewy smells from the basement. Then use it upstairs and after discovering that Electric had gone off I went down to the basement and reset the breaker. Then I went back upstairs and ozone generator wouldn’t work other items upstairs work just fine. This was plugged into a surge suppressor which was also plugged into another surge suppressor and that one was plugged into the wall outlet. This thing cost over 84.00 with tax and should’ve lasted more than six months. Not Happy. After looking over this unit I tried plugging it in to a different electrical outlet in a different room and low and behold it is working just fine once again.

> 3 dayIm writing this post like 6 months later, but... anyway Im landlord and I bought this product because a person died in one of my apartments and he was there for a few days. Its an upstairs apartment it was in the summer it was hot he didnt have on the AC, the smell was beyond awful. I ran this product for like 3 hours and it didnt do the job. I believe I needed to had ran it for like 6-10 hours. I used it a second time in my house in a blocked off area (bathroom and 2 bedrooms) for 1 hour. Because of the ozone smell it left, I had to sleep on the couch for 3 days. I used a third time in a musty basement. I ran it for 10 minutes. It worked perfectly. So to sum it up. I basically used it wrong, but its a judgement call you have to make based on the strength of the smell you are trying to eliminate. If the smell is airborne it will destroy it. You can easily not run it long enough or run it too long. So I suggest you set it for small time limits and if the smell is not gone use it again. I also bought a Walmart timer to trigger when to turn it on and used fans to help move the air. You, pets and plants cant be around it, so dont.

> 3 dayRecently moved into a rental townhome sight unseen. Previous tenants were hardcore smokers. It was clear that the owners had scrambled to paint over everything and put in new carpet/appliances in order to get new tenants in. Several areas were very unclean and the whole place wreaked of smoke. After a thorough cleaning only the smoke/musty odor remained. We put the ozone generator at the furthest air intake and set the timer for 3 hours. After coming back several hours after it had finished there was a significant improvement. The musty smoke odor was still noticeable in a few rooms especially if you were looking for it. Granted this is a tiny unit and we were running it to cleanse a 900 sqft home. It’s been a few days since running it and I can say that the effect has not worn off. In order to make sure the odor is gone permanently I have started locking the machine inside of individual rooms to really concentrate the ozone. If you are trying to get rid of a musty and/or smoke odor I would recommend using this machine in individual rooms for maximum effect. It would also be wise to shut all of your a/c vents and try to concentrate the ozone in your hvac system to clean the smell and kill off bacteria. 10/10 would buy this again and have recommended it to friends/family.

> 3 dayCleaned interior, put Lysol through HVAC a system, cleaned/conditioned leather, added 8 Bamboo charcoal filters and still the funky smell persisted. Did (3) fifteen minute ozone treatments followed by doors opened and outside for an hour. WOW what a difference. Odors reduced by 90-95%. Once in a while, I can still detect a slight drift of odor. Will probably do a 4th treatment with truck running and HVAC in recirculate mode. Also, used it on our Jeep Wrangler, where dog odors were noticeable. Not anymore, no odor at all after (2) fifteen minute treatments. Unit appears to be rugged. Timer has a solid mechanical feeling. Fan moves enough air. Red pilot light handy for looking from outside of vehicle to check if cycle is complete. Lastly, I went to Oion website and ordered a spare ozone plate. Found out it was made in Japan and not that Chinese junk. Not many manufacturers backup their products with spare parts and service.

23-11-2024Emits an incredible amount of ozone! You really need to take their advice and not run it in rooms with people or pets. After just a couple minutes exposure I could feel the effect on my lungs...be careful! The unit did a great job removing odors from a car, and Im now testing it in our basement. I purchased it primarily to keep our mountain retreat smelling fresh rather than musty. I havent had a chance to get it up there yet. I did disconnect the internal timer as another customer suggested, and have the unit plugged in to a digital timer with built-in backup battery. Weve tried other units that look like furniture with beautifully finished wood cabinets. They put out a much lower amount of ozone, pretty much requiring them to be run constantly. They also tend to fail after about a year. This unit replaces one of them, and though not as attractive were hoping to get better performance and life out of this unit. Ill update this review if we run into any problems...

> 3 dayI have had an issue with urine smells in the carpet for years, especially in the summer months. I used the machine on one 3 hour setting and the room smells fresh. So glad I purchased this. My husband had bought a truck that the previous owner smoked in and the dealership said they would get rid of the smell of cigarettes. The smell has been there for over 4 years and I used the machine for a 3 hours cycle and the smell in the truck is fresh now. Highly recommend!

18-11-2024Im impressed, well i guess the science behind ozone works almost too well. You could instantly smell the bleachy ozone when turned on. Bought the 9000mg unit .Although its not stating that this unit produces 9000mg/hour of ozone anywhere in the package yet without any means of measuring it, I have no idea how much ozone this compact (yes, its smaller than I imagined)machine actually produces. But the good thing is it certainly produces enough to get the job done. Used it a few times in the kitchen to eliminate the cooking oder 10-15 minutes max is all you need to get rid of the cooking oder in my case. Just make sure you go nowhere near the unit when its running and vent the place after treatment for at least 30 minutes before entering since the ozone is not a pleasant smell gas and is definitely not healthy at all for animals and human. The timer is a must for this type of equipment and this particular one can only be described as a at least it has one. Its working at the moment but seems like the timer may be broken fairly quickly and not satisfying at all to use it. Note that the warranty booklet came with the unit clearly states 6 years insteed of 1 year in the amazon description. Stay tuned, I will update the review if anything came up :) hope not I really like it.

Greater than one weekI purchased the 11,000mg grey version. I purchased a 08 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega 6.7L that was smoked in, probably for about a year which is how long the previous owner had it before he got sick and died. My Dad smokes in his 05 Dodge Ram 2500, and has since it was brand new back in 05. I would rate the smell in his truck a 10 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst. The smell in my truck was about a 4. Not overpowering. It was most noticeable on warm days when the sun was out. The weakness of the smell compared to my Dads is why I think it was smoked in for a short period of time. After cleaning the interior of the truck, I treated the interior for 4 hours with the Ozone machine. I made sure to make a gasket out of thick cardboard, and attached it to the ozone generator with hot glue. Then I inserted a dryer vent tube in the gasket, and sealed it with hot glue so that it would stay in, and used HVAC tape to seal it off. Then I made a gasket for the window side of the tube. This was a simple 1 x 3 cardboard panel with a 4 hole cut in the middle for the tube to go through into the truck interior. I put the Ozone generator on the roof of the truck, since Ozone is heavier than air. To that end, putting the machine on the roof is better than setting it on a small table outside. The first treatment was 4 hours in duration, on a mostly sunny day. The humidity was around 90% though, which wasnt ideal for generating ozone. The next day, my wife could still smell a very faint wisp of cigarette smell. So I ran the Ozone generator for 6 hours, and the humidity was 35% which was much better than the previous day. The temperature was also warmer, at 70°. After 6 hours of running the Ozone generator, I closed up the truck for about an hour, and then let it air out for a few hours that night. The next day, the cigarette smell was completely gone. There is a faint smell of ozone. I expect that will dissipate in the coming days. So far, the purchase of the Ozone generator has been worth it. The truck smells much better. No more odors. Just the very faint sweet smell of Ozone. I have baking soda containers in the truck right now to take care of the sweet ozone smell, which I expect will be gone in the next 24 hours. But no cigarette smell! Today was a hot sunny day, and the cig smell has not come back.
