I use heavy rough-out leather work gloves that get dirty. Periodically, I need to wash the gloves the clean the grime off of them. But when the gloves dry, they get extremely hard and difficult to wear. I applied this balm to the hardened gloves, rubbed it in for a couple of minutes and let the gloves sit over night. The next day, they were soft and very comfortable to wear again. For my work gloves, that was all I was hoping for. But it was evident the gloves went from light gray to a much darker gray. Again, for me, these are gloves intended to work in dirty environments so darkening is of no concern. But if you have nicely made dress gloves, be aware this may darken the glove. Not sure how you can test a dress glove without committing it potential discoloration. But this will condition and soften the leather.

It shipped with the lid actually open, but that’s the good thing with these products I guess? Get a horse hair brush and buff. It works okay and requires a monthly application.

I ordered the smaller size to test its waterproofing abilities and glad I did. I applied 3 coats and even used a heat source to aid in working into the surfaces but not waterproof and my experience barely water resistant. It does provide a really nice finish and darkens and evened the used leather boots I applied it to and seems to attract dust even after 48 hours applying/drying/setting time.

Storing a North East Porsche 993 in Arizona exposes the leather to additional dryness with typical temperatures above 110 and topping 120 F. This product, after much research, is perfect for introducing plasticity to old automotive leather upholstery. Spot tested first, then daily for a couple of weeks, applied Obenaufs LP Boot Preservative. Best investment into my precious car I have made since her purchase. Great stuff - recommended. Did a lot of research before ordering and it paid off. Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP is perfect for my new Solovair Monkey Boots. First time I’ve bought Solovair and want to take care of them, so this turned out as the best option. Goes on very smooth, and the leather absorbs nicely. Even the small portion goes a LONG way.

Used Obenauf on my hunting boots prior to a Elk hunt in New Mexico and my boots repelled snow, sleet and stream crossing like a champ. Very please with the performance of Obenauf beeswax formula.

Goes on easy, waterproof great & conditions well

Im a trucker and Ive now spilled oil, diesel, DEF fuel, antifreeze and mustard on my boots. This product is amazin!! I just took a wet cloth and wiped off the boot. And when it dried there was NO trace of what I had spilled. It works so good I even used it of the leather seats of my Jeep Cherokee. Wife spilled coffee and it just rolled off onto the carpet. Now o ly if the company could make the same product for fabric..hmmmmm

My go to leather conditioner for a decade now. Incredible stuff, smells great, and, when used in moderation, will preserve your leather for a long long time.

This product works very well have used it on my pair of whites smoke jumper boots since they were new and there boot stings are top notch aswell.
