This is the best stuff ive used on my boots! Im not always the best at taking care of my boots, but this stuff makes it nice and easy. The leather loves it and its helps with waterproofing. Will always have some on the shelf.

This stuff is amazing and I will be buying again. Used another leather conditioner and it hardly changed the color of the try leather. I could instantly tell a difference and I little goes a long way!

super easy to use, built for one purpose, protect & preserve leather. used on a 30y.o. pair of boots, brought them back to almost new feel on the leather. I use them on my work boots and gloves . simply the best.

Very pleased with the results. This was made for wilderness firefighters and my leather sees far less severe conditions. Stands up to a lot.

It goes on easy, application of heat either by a hair dryer or sun on a hot day will soak it in. Works great on boots and all sorts of leather goods u want to preserve and make water resistant. It absorbs easier than Snoseal, but I think Snoseal has a higher beeswax content.

So easy to use! Took less than 5 minutes to get a clean and even coat on my boots for hiking in montana/utah through streams and dirt. 10/10 purchase. Just used on my dress boots as well and it made them look brand new!!! Does darken the shade of leather a few notches, but thats a known thing to happen when caring for your boots/leather gear!!!

I had never heard of this product until I watched a video by Pat Puckett and he uses this on his saddles. If its good enough for him, then Im at least going to try it. I have used mink oil before to condition leather but found it to be hard to apply and the aroma was not my favorite. This product very quickly goes from a solid, semi solid, almost liquid very quickly. I applied it to my new trail saddle which was bone dry and the leather is very supple now. I like with the way it darkened my roughout saddle, if that isnt okay with you, dont use. Water and sweat are the enemy to leather, and a trail saddle will experience both if you ride at all. I like oils for very dry leather but always end up tipping the bottle or somehow spilling/wasting the oil. Not a problem with this product. It is a solid until you work with it. I think this has great potential for horse crazy kids and frugal parents. Protect the leather good investment and avoid wasted product. This is now my favorite leather conditioner. I will be out walking in wet grass soon so I will be able to update waterproofing of boots. I did receive my first jar of this without a lid. I asked for an exchange and Amazon sent a replacement. Will be buying again.

I have been using this product for several years on my leather boots, jackets, belts and bags. It is amazing how well it protects and preserves leather from water, dirt, chemicals and sun damage. It also restores dried and faded leather to its original color and softness. It is easy to apply by hand and melts into the leather with a little heat. It does not leave any sticky or greasy residue and allows the leather to breathe. It also has a pleasant natural smell of beeswax and propolis. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to keep their leather items in good condition for a long time.

I used this on my boots and leather gloves. A piece of wool fleece mad applying easy.the leather darkens but that was not a problem for me. The gloves regained their suppleness and feel great.

Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP

Industrial strength leather preservative (lp) was originally developed for protecting and waterproofing firefighters leather work boots. Heavy Duty LP is a leather conditioner made with our natural oil and beeswax formula. This unique Beeswax/Propolis Suspension Formula protects leather against caustic fire retardant chemicals, heat, water, and abrasion. Natural oils in Heavy Duty LP are gradually released into the fibers as a long term lubrication. Heat and flexing cause oils to be released, oiling the leather when it needs it most, making this an excellent leather boot conditioner. Before application, a spot test is recommended because Heavy Duty LP will darken your leather and nubuck. Not recommended for Suede. Made in the USA.

Apply Heavy Duty LP to your:

  • Leather Work Boots
  • Saddle Bags and Chaps
  • Belts
  • Holsters
  • Sheathes
  • Baseball Gloves
  • And more!

Originally Developed for Firefighters

Heavy Duty LP

Over 30 years ago, an Idaho Wildland Firefighter developed this unique Beeswax/Propolis Suspension Formula to protect leather against caustic fire retardant chemicals, ash, heat, water, and abrasion. Natural oils are gradually released into the fibers as a long-term lubrication. Heat or continued flexing causes oils to be released faster. Leather gets oiled when and where it needs it most; while on the job!

Recommended Application

At room temperature, apply by hand as body temperature helps melt LP into leather. Two applications last longer in wet conditions. For absorption, allow ten minutes or up to one hour between treatments. On smooth leather, buff off excess with a clean cloth. On nubuck, use a soft bristled brush. One ounce should provide one application to a pair of tall boots. Apply every 6 to 8 weeks or as needed.

Extensive Lab and Field Testing Compared Obenauf"s Against Other Products. Rated Superior and Proven to Resist:

  • Dynamic and Static Water Penetration
  • Scuffing and Abrasion
  • Manure Acid, Salt, Chemicals
  • Premature Cracking and Parching Due to Heat
  • Stitch Tear and Dry Rot
