Upgraded a 256 to this. The case for the old drive is a hefty chunk of metal and the cable is quite (unnecessarily) beefy, but the drive itself went in and worked well. If youre at all familiar with computer disassembly, this is a trivial and worthwhile replacement. Its a pity that Apple isnt really doing anything worth buying a new Mac over!

I got this 500GB SSD Upgrade for my 2013 15 MacBook Pro. Installation was easy, and I have had zero issues with the drive after installation. The drive is fast and responsive.

Already uninstalled from the laptop because it was giving so many problems. Apple software later than High Sierra wont allow certain things to work with this drive because of security. Never experienced anything like this. Customer became irate rightfully so because they lost most of their information

Moving the OS was not clear, and the details on using Apple tools to transfer data could have been better described.

Worked as expected when installed. Was able to easily partition it with Boot Camp, so that I could have both a Win 10 OS and a Mac OS on my MacBook Pro.
