> 3 dayI upgraded from a smaller capacity SSD to this one. The installation process was very straightforward. By buying the kit with the external enclosure for the old SSD, the transfer process was just a matter of waiting. As in all upgrades, back up your original hard drive, but this could not have been easier.

> 3 dayI did have to file a bit of the resin off one end of the board but other than that, installation was a breeze. Required installation tools were included as well. Hopefully the drive will last a long time.

> 3 dayMy first drive stop mounting in the first week. I got a replacement drive and it would either not mount or gives me the spin wheel and froze the whole system every other day that I had to restart my computer, basically making my Mac unusable after install the hard drive. Unfortunately I can no longer return the drive or I would. So I basically just waste my money on a piece of junk. I just ended up using the original ssd that came with my computer..

> 3 dayThe hardware is solid but would be nice to have some software included. I used carbon copy cloner. Worked well and solved my storage problem.

> 3 dayExtend usability of my 2012 MacBook Pro 15 from standard 256GB SSD to 1 TB. SSD This 1TB SSD is also much faster than original by Apple. Every owner of 2012 Macbook Pro (SSD Based model only) should upgrade. Too bad Apple stops making sensible machine since 2012 so any newer Macbook Pros are struck with whatever they originally purchased with impossible upgrade path. Maybe that will change in 2020 as R&D would have new leadership. If Apple could devise new sensible Macbook Pro concept. A bless and wait for new real revolution, which would be just thicker, a bit heavier but completely practical, with reliable keyboard and upgradable. A real PRO notebook. Until then, upgrading 2012 MacBook Pro is the best deal youll ever get.
