OWC 1TB Aura Pro 6G 3D NAND Flash SSD w/Envoy Pro Enclosure Compatible with 2012 to Early 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display

Working amazing! My hard drive was fried and this replacement made it all great!

Had a new Keyboard and Battery for my mid 2012 MacBook Pro Retina fitted at Mac Wave, Cape Town, South Africa (Great Service - shipped from Johannesburg on the Monday returned to me on the Thursday). Then fitted the OWC SSD 1TB (ordered from Amazon) through the OWC easy to follow video and instructions. Feel like I now have a new 2012 Macbook Pro Retina. Have to decide now whether to try a patch file to run Big Sur or to stick with Catalina.

Was very easy to follow instructions and install. I used aftermarket cloning software Easeus for mac

I installed this in a 2012 27” iMac. Once you gain access to the drive it pops right in. Of course you need an adapter to use with it, but that is a function of Apple design. It’s been in place for a few months now and I am very pleased with it so far. I went from 256Gb to 1Tb and won’t look back.

I love it. Of course, I know my purchase is too late for the model of MBPr. An 1 TB of SSD is enough for normal purpose of the machine, especially for me, and the performance is good.

Love this speedy new 1TB drive! I had the stock 512GB SSD from Apple for the last 7 years and my machine was running slow and out of space. OWC to the rescue! Install was a cinch and my laptop is faster with much more room. Thanks OWC!

And simple to install (just make sure you have the correct tool to open up your MAC whatever it is}

I purchased the 500gb ssd to replace the failed Apple ssd in my early 2013 MacBook Pro. The install was very easy with only the cover screws to remove on the bottom plate and 1 holding the ssd chip. I’ve been using this now for about 2 weeks and have not had any issues. I installed the latest os (Catalina) which seems to be running smoothly with no significant lag or slowness. The price is a little more then other comparable items but after researching and reading many reviews it seems like it was a good choice. My MacBook Pro has been revived and should get me a few more years of use.

Compré el disco con cierto recelo. Si bien es fácil de instalar, el desatornillador de 6 no coincidía con los tornillos del computador (afortunadamente tenía uno en mi casa). Hasta ahora el disco duro funciona perfecto y aumenté la capacidad del computador de 256 GB a 1 TB. Totalmente recomendado (si tienes los desatornilladores correctos)
