If you downhill mountain bike and have double down or downhill casing tires and have a flat or puncture, on the trail, that requires getting the bead in or out of the rim, you better have these. The plastic/vinyl ones will snap. These have the strength to get the job done.

For many years I tried to take bike Tires off without a bike lever and for a while that worked, I was able to get tires off without one. Then I realized, as I got older my hands got bigger and it became a lot trickier to get the tire off, sometimes resorting to a crowbar...(worst decision I ever made.) I was able to do it but it took me about five minutes. Then after purchasing the Park Tool 6.2 tire levers it really cut my time in half by about three minutes, so now it only takes me about two minutes to get a tire off. These really are the best on the market, you really can’t get a better product, these are solid steel with plastic molding to give it long lasting protection and these will not break. I love Park Tool, and I love their bike tool products they make the best in the industry and while the tools are expensive, they actually save money in the long run. With 85% of their tools being made in America and 25% overseas, really there quality tools that really do last. Plus, once you invest in these tools or invest in one of their many different toolkits like the AK-2, AK-3, PK-3 BMK-264 or MK-278 or in each tool individually etc, its money thats going to pay itself back down the road in the future.Never buy generic bike tools, that only costs you more down the road later. I highly recommend buying this product, you will not regret it.

I had a set of the old Park plastic leavers for a long time, and through loss finally got down to one. Ordered a new set of those, and broke one on the first use. Must be a different kind of plastic. Ordered these up. Real deal. Not gonna break these on a normal tire installation.

By far the best tire levers in existence. Worth the cost. They easily debeaded a tire that my LBS has a horrible time with using typical small plastic tire levers. These can get in and pull it over the rim without bending and snapping.

Scratched up my carbon road rims and tore apart my tubeless tape. Wish I never bought these and just stuck with plastic levers. Thought I was buying something more durable that I could use for a lifetime. These steel levers worked fine on my kid’s cheap bike rims, but since they damaged 2,000 dollar rims I’m just going to toss them so I can forget the whole ordeal.

These are fine tire levers - very strong, yet actually a bit smaller than other levers touted as strong. Theyre also a bit heavier, which is expected. Positives: they are steel all the way to the tip and the plastic coating provides good protection to your rims without being too bulky. On the down side, these dont have spoke hooks and theyre quite expensive. The similar but not quite as good Bikehand steel reinforced levers are much cheaper. Way I look at it, if Im stuck on the side of the road with a stubborn flat, Im glad to have spent the extra cash. YMMV.

If you use DH/DD tires and cushcore or like me use a Vitoria liner on an overbuilt rim. You need these. I have wrapped, dipped, and heat shrunk protection on to other tire tools but nothing really comes close to these for rim protection and durability. I used to use my dirt bike tire spoons, now I only use these.

For those tire and carbon rim combinations which are seemingly impossible to mount or remove, these are the only tire levers which can possibly get the job done.

After breaking 4 nylon tire tools, these finally did the job of removing tubeless mtn bike tires!

Park tools are the best on the market. Deep wheels with strong beaded tires are tough to remove. Not for these!
