Adapts newer computers to using ps2 key boards and mice. The 2 connectors allow you to use keybnoard and mouse at same time. Seems well made.

Notice how this one is stated to be compatible with a KVM switch. Support PS/2 Port of KVM Switch - Built-in USB IC. Not all of these adapters state that compatibility. Boy what a nightmare I had because I used one that was not compatible with my 4 port PS/2 KVM Switch & Windows 10 pro had a problem loading in a Generic Driver for it & I had no Keyboard or Mouse. So if you use a KVM Switch try this one. As soon as I used this one, problem solved, & as another reviewer pointed out, plug this adapter in 1st & the OS load in the Generic Driver, then plug in Leboard & Mouse.

Used this only for keyboard, did not try it with a mouse. Worked well with the keyboard except for one thing: when cycling through windows of an application using Ctrl + Tab, if I stopped cycling while still holding down those keys, the highlighted window would automatically be selected. I tried various keyboards to see if that made a difference and it did not. I ended up buying a similar adapter from a different manufacturer and that one worked correctly (it does not switch to the highlighted window until Ive released the keys). Other than that, the Perixx works fine for a legacy keyboard.

My wife loves her old keyboard. Half the letters have been warn off the keys its so old. It came with a Dell PC, 2 or 3 computers ago. Finally they stopped putting in PS2 ports. I get her a couple of new usb keyboards, but she hated them all. So I thought Id try this gizmo to bring the sexy back, or at least her old keyboard. I was concerned when looking because some units lacked the built in controller thing and reviews stated they would sometimes and then not work other times. Unacceptable for a non-techy wife to troubleshoot. So I took a chance on this item and its work great for several months now. And not one complaint from the wife - priceless! Seriously tho shes happy and the keyboard is working great with the new PC that has only usb ports.

I am pretty satisfied with this adapter. I already have an adapter that sees regular use, but needed another one to increase my options. With this adapter, I can have two computers working at the same time. With this adapter, I can use my favorite old keyboard and/or mouse and swap them out on the go without restarting the computer. This adapter wont get everyday use, but is very handy when more options are needed to accomplish a goal. The price is reasonable and the adapter is rugged enough to last for years and years.

The sales agent at Best Buy said I could not use my high-quality keyboard and mouse with my new computer due to old connectors on them. I love my ancient keyboard and mouse. The keyboard has keys, not flat buttons-- finding this adapter and hat it really works has saved me from anxious hours of adjusting to the new, cheap, horrible keyboards. Perfect and recommended!

The first one just did not work. It was quickly replaced and Ive been using it to connect my very old and well loved serial keyboard to my new USB only computer for about two years now.

I had purchased this adapter in hopes of being able to use my foot pedal for my transcription work but no uch luck. They were affordable and prongs did match general description. And at $7.55 I couldnt pass up the potential to be able to increase my work speed and accuracy increase exponentially. Which would also be extremely beneficial in regards to my income bracket.

I bought this adapter to use with my old IBM Model M keyboard. I had heard that these keyboards can be finicky with which adapters they do and dont work with so I was a little nervous it wasnt going to work. I am happy to say though, that it works fine. I will update this review if anything changes.

Amazon want me to review. I needed this for an old input device, it seems well constructed, and worked for my needs. I was well satisfied.
