Only want colors. Wanted bright cool. Also Many cheaper alternatives exist like Wiz just as easy to install and maintain.

It looks great, easy to setup and all but there is a lag to turn on. I have it in a group with 3 A19 Hue Ambient White bulbs and a Hue remote to control the group. When I press the power ON, the A19s fade in as expected but not the G25. It stays off for about 2-3 second and then comes on at full intensity (even though in the scene preset it may be set to dimmed). I had to change the default power on to be the last level, so that it behaves a bit better. Once on, there is no lag to dim or turn it off (i.e. not a communication/signal issue, plus firmware is latest). Still, the delay is rather disappointing and I have opened a support case with Philips about it. 3 stars for now, give the expectation that a premium product like this should not have such glaring issues.

I bought two for use in outdoor light fixtures on my porch. One or the other decides to turn on, of its own volition, at random times during daylight hours. I use an Alexa schedule which it follows except for this turning on occasionally in the middle of the day. I havent been able to determine any pattern. Maybe an electrical quirk? Its an annoyance but not a deal breaker.

Great bulbs. Work great with Hue app. They are fully dimmable and programmable thru the app. You cannot change bulb color temperature, only dimming level.

Theyre bright and can light up a room, but when theyre all the way dimmed, thats where things get interesting. The elegant look of the filament and the warm ambiance radiating from the bulb goes great in any living room lamp.

Have a bunch of these around the house now and am always looking for sales to continue to replace all my older bulbs. Regular price these are good, (really) long life (haven’t one die yet), and fun. And on a sale they become a solid value. But Beware Amazon warehouse returns! I have had two now arrive as fakes repackaged in Philips boxes. (Amazon returns! C’mon they don’t even say Philips on the fake returned bulb!. Let alone match the picture. You’re being scammed.)

My wife wanted vintage style bulbs for our kitchen table light and hallway lights. She looked all over to find vintage light but everything she found had very low light output. I found these and they checked all the boxes for me and wife. 1. Vintage look. 2. Dimmable 3. Controllable through Hue app 4. Controllable through Google Home 5. Easy to set up These were a breeze to set up with my existing Hue bridge. I could not be happier with this purchase. These are not cheap but are definitely worth it.

These are great when they work but, these smart bulbs seem particularly sensitive to power fluctuations. If the amount of power going to the bulb drops too much, which can happen if too many devices are drawing power from the same circuit, it will cause an error and the bulb will start flashing. If the lights in your house tend to dim when you turn on the washing machine for example, these bulbs might give a problem

Lightbulb is really nice in terms of how it looks, the ambiance, and hue selections. However, it falsely advertised that it can integrate with Google Home. In reality you must have the Philips Bridge device to integrate with Google Home, which costs another $60! If you are looking for an equally good smart bulb that actually integrates easily with Google Home, we found that GE Cync bulbs work much better. They are also generally more reasonably priced that this one.
