> 3 dayThe hue of the light is very pleasant from the SIDES of the bulb, but directly underneath the light is more “green” with a dim circle in the center. I’m not sure if this is from the text printed on the bulb — if you’re spending $40 for a single bulb I would hope they can print the technical specs somewhere out of sight — or part of the filament design itself, but it would be a perfect solution for functional + ambient moods if the light was uniform (since it’s not *that* bright to begin with)

> 3 dayBought to put these in a lamp that fully has these bulbs on display at all times. On or Off, these bulbs look great!. I love the warm tone of the light. They are a no brainer if you have other Hue lights in your home.

> 3 dayTheyre bright and can light up a room, but when theyre all the way dimmed, thats where things get interesting. The elegant look of the filament and the warm ambiance radiating from the bulb goes great in any living room lamp.

> 3 dayI have a lamp in my office that I historically had an Edison bulb in and the fixture was connected to a Wemo plug. I’ve the years I’ve gotten rid of my Wemo plugs and put in Hue bulbs to avoid having so many devices on my wireless network. However, I was not able to do it with this fixture until this bulb was released. Once I got it, I screwed it into the fixture and it failed to turn on. I tried other fixtures and it worked fine. Upon reading some reviews I found many people had an issue where the bulb could not screw in enough to connect the the base to provide power, so I gave up. However, a few weeks later I looked at the fixture and found a piece of metal in the base that I was able to bend up. Once I did that, I was able to screw in the bulb and it worked! Overall a great addition to the Hue family.

> 3 dayThese are great when they work but, these smart bulbs seem particularly sensitive to power fluctuations. If the amount of power going to the bulb drops too much, which can happen if too many devices are drawing power from the same circuit, it will cause an error and the bulb will start flashing. If the lights in your house tend to dim when you turn on the washing machine for example, these bulbs might give a problem

> 3 dayThese lights work perfectly with Apple Homekit via the Hue hub, and the dimming feature allows it to go from bright warm light to very soft warm light. The LEDs are in the shape of an incandescent filament coil, and give off a soft, yellow, warm glow. If you want white light, dont buy these. I like the incandescent-like warm light they provide. Looks very vintage in the fixture we have. These are not bulbs to be hidden inside a lampshade, they are meant to be seen.

Greater than one weekThis light is easy to add to the Hue app, Google home, or HomeKit, making it easy to set the desired brightness and the schedule you want it on(I use for porch lighting) and then you just let it go!

> 3 dayI love Philips Hue products but these didn’t make the cut. I bought them for my clear glass pendant lights over my island. They worked perfectly but the light they gave was too warm/yellow for the location. These, in my opinion, are better suited for accent lighting, not task lighting. They weren’t bright enough or “white” enough for the lighting most people want or need above a kitchen island.
