I cannot add everything I use it for because I need to be able to sleep tonight! However, to name a few: Appointments, reminders of all kinds, timer, wake up alarm, turning my lights off and on as well as dimming and brightening them (all with my voice), calling peoples phones and talking to them, she tells me when packages are delivered to my door, etc., etc. She is fantastic! Tonight, my daughter ordered me a new Gen 3 Echo Dot with a plugin for turning on lamps, etc. I will now have two (I call them my maids) lol I told one my daughters tonight that I couldnt imagine having to live w/o her - now I will have two maids! Try it, you will love it!

Many products nowadays are so expensive when compared to their predecessors. Now and then I find out it is very worth it! I was looking to create more of an atmosphere for different moods at home, and these are core to it. Toss a few of these into some lamps and some floor cans tucked behind a corner plant and bingo!

Bought these on sale as I couldnt bring myself to pay the full price. That said, Im really loving them and glad I purchased the set. The software takes a bit to figure out, and there are some other apps probably worth a look for more advanced lighting control. The lights themselves work great once you get it all setup. The one in my bedroom is tied to a motion detector in my sons room so itll wake me up if he gets up. Its also set to a wake up timer through the app and has this sum rise effect that slowly wakes me up. I have my alarm as a backup, but so fart the lamp has worked every morning. The other three bulbs are in the computer room and I love using them in conjunction with my gaming. Have even messed around with an app that has them change colors to approximate whats on the screen. Would have given a five star, but the retail price seems high to me and I had to buy another app to get many of the features I thought it came with.

Bought this from my Amazon Treasure Truck yesterday to update my bridge and get some more color light bulbs. It works. However I have several non-Hue white lights (Cree brand) that I purchased when the white lights were $50 USD each, like the colored lights. Now none of them work with the software. I also had each of my lights named (so I knew which light was which on my ceiling fan and along the bathroom wall). Now they are Hue Light #. No ability to give it a name. Phillips has continually given the consumer less with each update of its less than spectacular software. If you do get these, check out the paid for versions of the control software. I will continue to get these for now, because I like the colored lights and the ability to control with Siri.

Very disappointed. The bulbs are rated at a 60 W equivalent but at max brightness the are still very dim. 40W at best. Package is going back unfortunately.
