Extremely unreliable, frequently becomes “unreachable”, despite strong WiFi signal. Don’t even try to use this with wifi extenders or mesh networks. We tried both (Verizon extender and then Eero Mesh). Despite initial success, bulbs are unreachable or unresponsive about 40% of the time, which makes them frustratingly useless. I’m replacing this set (and dimmer and strip) with analog dimming fixtures.

I worked for over 2 hours to install and have working these light bulbs. I was on the phone for over an hour to a technician and he finally went to a supervisor who told him that Phillips has a known software issue and that the bulbs won’t work on the program. They said they were working on fixing the problem and would send me the fix. I declined and sent them back for a full refund. At this price they should work perfect. They Don’t have any idea when they will have a fix.

The lights themselves are decently bright and pretty responsive. Color combinations you are endless. The Philips app itself is pretty basic but there are a lot of other 3rd party companies which tend to be pretty buggy. My box came in perfect condition with no signs damage, inside 2/4 lights had broken defused glasses.

Christmas gift for my son. He likes it very much.
