LOVE THIS GAME

This game isn’t without its flaws, but as the first radical departure from the traditional Pokémon formula (outside of the dungeon games) it’s accomplishes it’s goals well and immediately makes Sword and Shield feel dated. The research based task system needs refining and the game could use more guidance throughout to minimize the amount of menu scrolling and checking you have to do, but overall it’s a really well done game that I think is going to revolutionize the Pokémon series. A must buy!

This game is absolutely fantastic, so much so that I’m writing my first review just to praise this game. I’ve played every Pokémon game since diamond and pearl, and besides black and white 2, this game has surpassed all of them. Breathing fresh air into old mechanics that had begone to go stale in recent years, and changing over to a semi-open world style is exactly what this franchise needed to start feeling like the biggest IP in the world again. It is lacking in graphics, but it makes up for that with its amazing gameplay and long play time. Overall I would recommend this game to any new or long time fans of the franchise, it’s worth every cent.

I love the open world style and the requirement of actually working on the pokedex in order to progress in the story!

Love this totally different approach to pokemon it keeps you engaged and occupied. 5/5 recommend

Maybe not a 10/10 game by itself but in terms of Pokémon this game is a masterpiece and I still think that is saying something. Pokémon has had some ups but probably more downs but this game changes the old style of Pokémon in almost all good.
