Been playing it since it came out and have been shiny hunting since completing the full dex! Love this game so much and will probably keep coming back to keep shiny hunting in it! Great for someone wanting a new taste of game from the Pokémon Company!

This game is ADDICTIVE!!! I love completing all these objectives to complete each Pokémon entry to Perfect status. Granted I HATE farming Silcoons and Cascoons. Still a awesome game with so much going for it! Hopefully they release a sequel to this that’s even better!

Ot feels like a rough draft more than a final product i like the direction it’s headed but they pushed out the game with gritty graphics, glitchy world and Pokémon, and the eviroment draw distance is not long despite its simple art form not expecting skyrim level of graphics but i so expect it to run smoothly with the simple graphics it has its 2022 not 2008

So happy that the pre-orders got delivered on the actual release date. Been waiting for this game ever since it was announced! The bonus gifts were a nice add on as well. Use your game code for a Garchomp kimono set and then download another one via internet only for a Growlithe kimono set!

Never have I ever had more fun in a side game from the main series than this game! I may never stop playing. If you like Pokémon you will LOVE this game!

Pros: cute progression style through battling and catching, gorgeous game, and fun side quests. Cons: tricky and overwhelming control system, noble pokemon fights ridiculous. I play video games to relax. I like a challenge and tense moments, but not games that rely on real time reactions because I get overwhelmed and tense. This game relies entirely on them. To give it a fair chance, I got to the third noble. At that point I realized that as much as I liked the open world exploration and the research aspect, I hated how noble fights worked, among issues with pokemon attacks and poor player pokemon v. wild pokemon structure. Just because all the buttons are there doesnt mean they need to be used regularly.

Although it may not be perfect in every little aspect, overall its the game I have been waiting for. I have been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue were released, so over the years I have been craving something a little more than the typical format. We got close a couple of times with the GameCube installments, and Lets Go may be the most original thing done to a remake.. but Arceus is something completely new and I am LOVING it. The game plays as a real life scenario with Pokémon, you run around and catch them and can even be attacked by them. This is truly my childhood dream, the most realistic Pokémon game yet.

I have played every main line Pokémon game since Red and Blue. This one is the first one I’ve quit within a day. First and most importantly, I like to play handheld. The graphics are so blurry that it’s difficult to distinguish anything while playing handheld. I found it completely unplayable in handheld mode. I can almost play it on a big screen TV, but it really just makes the graphics look worse. I’m a retro gamer, so not a graphics snob, but these graphics severely affect gameplay. If two Pokémon resemble each other, and one will run and one will aggro, I can’t even tell the difference until I’m on top of them. I literally couldn’t tell the difference between a Zubat and a Golbat until I was fighting the Pokémon, and I had no trouble distinguishing them on Shining Pearl in the underground. Secondly, the tasks - basically quests for exp - are so dull and repetitive. One of the first one la is to catch a large buizel. I’ve caught over a hundred, a couple of which were 2’7”, but the quest giver wants 2’8” or more. Really? The exp grind isn’t fun, either. Instead of getting exp for almost all your activities, you have to use certain moves or catch in a certain way. And those tasks get repetitive. You can’t even review them if, as often happens, you run into a Pokémon and they aggro you. I’m too busy trying to get a Pokémon out to fight before I die to see the research tasks, and I’m getting aggro because I didn’t even see the stupid Pokémon because the graphics are so blurry. The game mechanics are weird and complicated for an open world game, too. I can’t travel directly to places; I have to go to the professor to get out of a particular area. I get forced into cut scenes regularly. Riding a Pokémon just means I run into Pokémon I can’t see (once again, graphics) who aggro me more often. There are places it’s difficult to get to, and unintuitive to find a path. The map isn’t helpful because it doesn’t really show the differences in terrain well - or maybe it does show them, but I just can’t see them. I found the game frustrating and not at all fun.
