Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Nintendo Switch

Absolutely love the unique storyline, completely different from other Pokemon games.

Ive been playing since Red and Blue on the OG GameBoy, and this is absolutely my favorite game in the series. My only complaint is that they didnt make any extensive DLC. I would have loved to have seen more from this world. When I first saw all of the new gameplay elements, and started reading the complaints about the trailers, I was worried. After completing the game, I cant recommend it enough. If youre on the fence about it, my suggestion would be give it a shot, and I think youll find it to be an enjoyable experience and well worth your time and money.

Good fighting system, but the story has nothing to do with Pokémon. It is a whole new story. It is not my expected.

A change to the standard Pokémon recipe that feels fresh and is so addictive. The ability to explore the world and catch wild Pokémon is exactly what I hoped a new game would be. It’s hard to imagine going back to the regular game formula after this. Highly recommend.

This is the best Pokemon game in a long time, and some even say best there is outright. Personally, I have sunk many hours into the game and love it. It relies heavily on catching Pokemon to complete research tasks so if you dont like the idea of going out and catching the same pokemon 20+ times, it might not be for you. However, I say give it a shot as it impliments new battle mechanics (significantly less trainer battles and no gym leaders), the areas are huge, and it feels like what a pokemon game should be.

Best Pokémon game in many years. Truly the beginning of the next generation. Legends Arceus makes even the most monotonous parts of traditional Pokémon games fun by entirely reworking catching mechanics and related gameplay. Battles are also made much more interesting with changes to the importance of the speed stat and how moves are affected by such. It is generally true that the world lacks detail (caves are very bland for example). This is not a game breaking issue however, and should not prevent playing this game because it is mad fun and a very enjoyable experience whether you are a long time Pokémon fan or a new player.

Even though I love Pokémon, it’s usually the same style game. However, I love how this game innovated the mechanics while keeping things familiar. If graphics are very important to you than this game is probably not for you. In my opinion, I think the gameplay is so addicting and fun that’s worth the sacrifice

This is the best Pokémon game. I really love the open world concept. Hopefully Pokémon keeps this up for future games.

I have spent so many hours playing this game. A very successful turn away from the usual Pokemon gameplay (not that I generally mind the usual stuff). I do hope they plan to continue this style. For those who are completionists like me, this will keep you busy for quite a while as I still have yet to star complete my dex (all the tasks for each entry).

I was a kid when Pokemon came out, so I grew up watching and playing both the cards and gameboy games. That being said, I grew out of it after the 3rd generation. This past year though Ive been exploring nostalgia and getting back in touch with some of my childhood. I bought this with low expectations and so far its awesome. The open world concept is something I think most old school players dreamed about. Theres definitely room to grow and Im excited to see where they take it. My only issue is the Pokemon were better in the older generations haha these new ones are weird.
