We actually purchased these speakers for interior use only. The only tricky part about using them inside is that they are quite large. You can measure for placement with a ruler, but once you actually have them in hand, the size and weight was a bit unexpected. If attaching to drywall, mollies are definitely in order. We have a room with a cathedral ceiling that starts at 10 feet and apexes at 15 6. We purchased 2 pair, and placed them in each corner at a height on 14. The direction of the speakers is limited to up or down, or left to right, depending on how they are mounted. We chose a horizontal mounting and angled them down. The sound from these speakers is gorgeous. There is no other way of putting it. We are so glad we did not opt for some bookshelf-type speaker, or ones that were much smaller that claimed to have deep bass notes. These, inside, give fortitude to the music. Both bass and treble are rich. Frankly, these speakers are extraordinary. We look forward to mounting two of them outside during the Christmas Season. The are paired to an old, though, somewhat expensive for the time, 1993 JVC Audio Receiver.

Excellent sound! I was looking into the Bose speaker when I found these and decided to try them. The sound is amazing and the price is great.

Sound great and easy to mount. Its nice that they swivel. The music carries to the top of our deck to the patio on ground level to the pool. We have them mounted underneath the deck. Base is decent.

I hooked these puppies up the moment they arrived. Dang! They sound like the entire band is sitting right in front of me. I was tempted to run back to the computer and hit purchase again for another speaker run. The Atrium-6 arrived as a pair, looked exactly like I expected, and sounded absolutely awesome. These blow away the Bose 251s I have on another patio. Very impressed and will look to Polk again Im sure.

DO NOT BUY THESE! They will arrive used and in poor quality. Then they will charge you a restocking fee. RIDICULOUS!! GET RID OF THIS VENDOR AMAZON!!

These are a perfect replacement for my Elan outdoor speakers. After 10 years of outdoor abuse they needed replacing and these fit the bill. They produce a nice level of bass and produce good audio over a a fairly large volume of outdoor space. At about 50 Watts they are uncomfortably loud yet still very clear.

No dislike.... AWSOME sound and easy install

I just recieved these speakers on Tuesday (5/15/2012) and I have already put them to good use. They replaced a couple indoor speakers that I had ran outside that I would put up when I wanted to listen to music on the deck. These are great because I can leave them out all the time. As far as sound quality goes, I am quite impressed. They put out great sound considering the large open area I am trying to get the sound to. Great speakers for the money especially being as I got mine for quite a low price. Very impressed and would for sure recomend them to anyone looking for outdoor mountable speakers.

I love these speakers. I installed them on my patio, which has absolutely no shelter. These speakers have been exposed to snow, heat and everything in between, and they have held up like a champ! Sometimes I wish they had just a little more base, but I really have no complaints. They were very easy to install, and they can be placed so that you get the best sound from them. If I ever need more outdoor speakers, these will be at the top of my list. I have them attached to a Sonos connect amp, which turned them into wifi speakers. Just love them!
