DO NOT BUT THIS! DOSE NOT WORK!! Ive change this 2 times its not like I dont know how.. Its just not working out of the box. SAVE UR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS! The screen would JUMP ALL OVER THE PLACE like theres a gosh pushing everywhere on to the screen. And when I try to contact them for return they ignored me completely.

I had already successfully changed the screen on the iPad once. When I opened up the new digitizer, I realized that the digitizer chip was installed backwards. There was no way to lock the new chip onto the circuit board correctly. So I could not use my new digitizer. By the time I sat down to do the repair my window of time to return it had expired. I ended up just buying a new iPad.

The replacement of these is pretty straight forward, and using a product that is well made only adds to the ease of installation.

This was a disaster I thought it would be great for the price but.... it was really cheapo looking and am regretting spending any money on this and wish I looked around more for a better screen. The digitizer is very obvious in your visual meaning... the squares that detect your finger on thedigitizer are obvious and annoying looking once you notice them.... they are about(I am only guessing) 1000 times more than the phone I’m on now and maybe700timea bigger than the ORIGINAL one that I miss... if you want one that works but the quality is a few steps back from Apples orig. by all means go for it! It has no ghost touch not any problems except I hate the big freaking rectangles on it...

After talking to Apple and realizing that I could purchase a new iPad for 60 dollars more than the replacement cost, I purchased a new iPad for immediate use and then kept this one to try to repair on my own when I had time. I should have held off on buying a new one as this did the trick. The item I received looked like it had been used previously as there were a few scratches and some of the foam adhesive was scraped off. I watched the video recommend by iparts and I also watched a few others just to get as much info as I could. Unfortunately, all the videos dont show them removing a cracked to bits iPad screen. So, when I was done, I had two extra magnets that I wasnt sure of their locations or how to attach. I had to google the correct location and I ended up just using the adhesive that was attached to the glass to directly attach them to the glass. I followed the directions and initially, it worked but, once I securely attached the glass, I realized that the home button was acting very weird. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it would act like it was stuck. So, back to google I went and found out that certain parts of the glass need to be covered with tape so I ended scraping it off the old glass and reusing it. Once I did this, the iPad mini worked just like new. The video that they direct you to doesnt tell you to tape off certain parts so definitely google iPad mini home button not working after digitizer replacement

I cannot give this repair kit enough stars. My 7 year old son had shattered his 3 year old iPad screen several months ago. The iPad still functioned although extremely difficult to see since the screen was a myriad of spiderweb lines and cracks. One of the top items he asked Santa to bring was a repaired screen or new iPad. This kit was ordered 2 days before Christmas and arrived on Christmas Eve as we had forgotten to order it and remembered at the absolute last minute. My husband was able to get the screen installed and working flawlessly in a little over an hour. Although tedious, the kit had EVERYTHING he needed to do the repair. Our son was SO Ecstatic and exclaimed that Santa really is magic and actually thought at first that it was a brand new iPad. I would order this kit in a heartbeat if, God forbid, this ever happens again. For $17.00, a 3 year old mini iPad looks and performs like a brand new one. I would give this kit a million stars if I could. This kit made my son and ourselves extremely happy. I was hesitant to purchase this because his iPad is black and this one is white, but it actually makes it look nicer. Once you put a good protective case on it, you cant tell its white anyway. A+++++

Everything I needed to replace my screen was there! A little advice for future screen fixers is to make sure you straighten out any dents on the corners if you have any. I had a dent which caused the screen to not sit right and by pressing the corner of the screen to make it fit, it caused the screen to crack again. I had to reorder another screen which was not costly considering I have all the tools already. But the screen did crack very easily. Other than that, a great tool set!
