I will use the Helping Hands primarily for Soldering. The Helping Hands unit is built like a tank. I am so excited and satisfied with this purchase.

Exceeds my expectations!

Dont waste your money on the little cheap helping hands that will drive you nuts, just get this thing and be done with it. The arms actually stay in place, the clips can be rotated and locked in place with the thumbnuts that are installed just below them, and the arms can be moved anywhere on the base. Killer.

The Quad Hands work well. They can be moved around the metal base to get a good position to hold and solder items. That is what I was looking for . Previous hands I had were fixed and this limited their functionality.

This QuadHands device is a well-made product that I expect to last me the rest of my life. The base is heavy and solid-feeling and extremely stable. When I place parts to be soldered/glued in the alligator clips, I never get the feeling that the whole thing is gonna tip over. This is not the case with those $10–15 cheapie soldering aids, which get knocked over easily. On this QuadHands device, the flexible arms can be adjusted with a minimum of spring-back, and things stay where I put them. The magnets in the bases of the arms are powerful. The arms are easy to slide around when you need to, but stay put when theyre supposed to and they dont break loose by themselves. This is obviously not in the low price range of this type of device. Its expensive for what it is. And worth every penny. Im sorry I didnt buy one years ago. It would have saved a lot of aggravation and I would have completed projects more quickly. Good quality tools are so nice to use.
