> 3 dayIt was my first TKL keyboard and I was loving it ...until I spilled water all over it and it shorted and I had to throw it away. I really liked the fact that it had white LED backlights only, since Im kind of over the whole RGB GAMER phase of my life - it gives it a little more of that professional vibe. The keys were quiet, I did install all the O-Rings on the keys to make it even more quiet, but it was quiet enough without the O-rings too. I will buy it again when the time comes...

> 3 dayI bought this because I have a friend with one who recommended it but I was worried about the orange switches being too noisy. I Installed the o-rings and while that did help a lot with the noise I noticed that the switches began to sound springy which really sucked because it became too hard to not notice. Other than the springy sound its a very nice personal keyboard to use at the house but just not the best for office. I love the build quality to it and the way it sounds without the o-rings.

Greater than one weekI didnt expect much and it was still a bit disappointing. I knew that Razers older keyboard were kinda terrible and I owned a Razer Blackwidow X Tournament Edition back in the day so I was mainly getting this keyboard just for nostalgia purposes. Ended up spending about $80 all expenses tolled and when it got to my house, I was met with wicked key inconsistencies. I also used to own a Razer Ornata so I thought i had seen the worst of their keyboards but this thing really did take me by surprise. The keys had lost all their tactility and sound. I thought at first I was given the wrong keyboard model so I took off a key and found their signature green switches like I had ordered. I eventually found out that keys were getting their click and tactility back the more I used them, so for about an hour I went around pressing all the keys about a thousand or so times until they felt and sounded decent again, and still there are problems. Some keys are so scratchy you can literally hear their springs being crunchy and colliding with something else in the switch. Im guessing since the click jakets in these switches were made with sand like Cherry Blues, they are falling apart over time with them just not being used. Either that or I got a heavily used pre owned model, which would be a mistake since I ordered a brand new item. Currently on the fence about getting an all out refund just because I ordered this thing just for fun and never really expected any serious usability. Either way, makes me think about how seriously terrible Razer used to be when making products that you go in expecting a bad experience and you still somehow walk out upset.

> 3 dayReally superb all around keyboard. Price is great (I got it at $60), design is clean and not too in your face, which is welcome from Razer, build quality is solid, and quite pleased with the switches. The lettering looks really clean on the keyboard, and the backlighting is just right, not too bright or soft. Keyboard material, albeit seeming to be mostly plastic, still has a nice texture and premium feel to it. These Razer orange switches (brown equivalent) are wonderful and have made a noticeable difference for me when typing, both as a gamer and as a programmer. They are certainly an outright upgrade from the Outemu reds I had been using at my desk at home previously (I liked the smooth action but found I made a lot of mistakes with the low actuation force of the red switches), and Ill give them a slight edge in terms of personal preference for the softer switch action of the brown switch as opposed to the Cherry MX Blue switches I have in my keyboard at the office (currently not seeing much use, obviously). I am not ultra-sensitive to switch quality, I just prefer a keyboard with clean action and quality build, and after finally having given this style of switch a try I dont think I can go back. My only two *very minor* gripes are these: 1. Aesthetic from the side of the keyboard is a bit strange. The keycaps are very short in height and so the components underneath each key are visible, including the switch+switch housing. Seems like thats the aesthetic theyre going for, just not my personal taste, and its unnoticeable from above, which is where Im mostly seeing the keyboard from anyway. 2. Keyboard deck warped ever so slightly at one point so that it wasnt sitting flush with the desk. Not sure if this will resurface in the future, but I was able to unwarp it using raw man power (aka a very light bend back in the correct direction) and it has been sitting fine for over a week since I noticed the issue. These are not deal breakers in the slightest, just for others to be aware of when purchasing. Still love the keyboard, and certainly not worth subtracting a star.

> 3 dayUpdate: Now that I know there is a much bigger world in mechanical keyboard, I see that this one is just an entry level cheaper-than-average keyboard. Considering the price, it is ok, but I want more, and more! I recommend to pay a little more and get a better quality keyboard in terms of feels and noise. So far, this keyboard is an outstanding experience for a new mechanical keyboard user. I’ve been using logitech K800, which uses scissor type low profile membrane keys, which works great with no wrist pain thanks to its extremely low profile, laptop-like keys. However, it lacks the fun, which I did not know there can be any fun in typing before I met this. Typing mechanical keys is so much more fun than typing the membrane keyboards. The mechanical key bounces back after being pressed, and that makes typing a lot more responsive and faster. Typing sound can be a matter of preference. Even though it uses orange keys, your coworkers may not like it. O-rings do not help much. It slightly reduces noise, but the typing feels better without it. The caveat is that the key height is much higher than my old low profile keyboard K800, so I am worried that there might be some fatigue in the wrist. I purchased a wrist pad as well, and so far it looks fine. If I ever purchase another mechanical keyboard, I would purchase the one with integrated wrist pad like the latest blackwidow v3.

> 3 dayIm pleased with how the keyboard works. Even with those silent caps, the clicking its still a little too loud, because Im coming from a laptop-oriented keyboard.

> 3 dayThis keyboard was absolutely amazing. It had everything I needed and wanted. Except. All the setting you set, keybinds, light affects, etc, DONT WORK WITHOUT THE COMPUTER YOU SET THEM UP ON. I plugged it into my ps5 and it just reverts to the original settings no matter what. I contacted razed about this and there’s no way to fix it. It’s super annoying and technically still useable if you only want the default lighting and everything. Lighting was super cool and had everything and more, but didn’t work with ps5, only could do spectrum lights for ps5. Great keyboard, quiet, very bright. 10/10, but only for windows. 0/10 for console if you want customization

> 3 dayThis is the first Razor keyboard that I have ever owned and let me start by saying that it is by far the best (keyboard) that I have ever owned. I was slightly skeptical at first just because I have always seen of myself as more of an membrane and thin laptop esq. keyboard kinda guy. I think that part of my skepticism was due to the less than good keyboards that were in every computer lab, in every school.I could not have been more incorrect. Absolutely everything from the responsiveness & sound of the keys, to the removable & extremely comfy wrist rest, and the customization (of which I have lost countless hours playing with), is AMAZING! I literally cannot think of a single disappointing thing about this keyboard. It would be nice if for future iterations to add a couple things, such as wireless capabilities (wishful thinking, and is understandable why its not) and an extra USB port on the keyboard itself (something which the larger models already have). Those arent even complaints, just wishes that would make an already outstanding keyboard that much better. Also, just make sure that you (and others within earshot of your keyboard) are ready to make the commitment to loud clicky keys. Personally I love the sound the keys make and dont think that I could ever go back to something more quiet. My girlfriend however, does not feel the same, and finds them rather loud/annoying when she is in the same room as me.

> 3 dayThe description on this keyboard is tactile and silent, that isnt quitre the case. It has good feel, but the keys are far from silent. I get that full size keys wont be completely silent, but this thing isnt much quieter than my full size Razer gaming keyboard. I went without the numeric keypad to save space. It is nice and small. The wristpad is nice most of the time, but I tend to move it when gaming. It is nice it is magnetic, easy to add or remove. But the quiet part is my biggest complaint. I was hoping for something I could type on without everyone having to hear it. Not the case.

21-11-2024Before I bought this I had a regular mechanical keyboard with brown switches and no dampening. I got a few complaints in the office from people right next to me. I still wanted to work with a mechanical keyboard so I tried this after watching an online review. Ive got to say Im pretty content with it so far! No one in the office complains of the sound; its nice and quiet with the o-rings installed, less so than a normal 20$ junk keyboard. Even with the o-rings it still feels like Im typing on a mechanical keyboard, not sticky in the slightest.
