> 3 dayComing from previously using a Razer Ornata Chroma, I was looking to make the full transition to a mechanical keyboard. The tenkeyless was a huge factor and gives so much more space which I love. I went with the Orange switches because I didnt want the typing to be overly loud and also did not want Linear yellow as I like at least some click. Its still quite loud in comparison to the Ornata Chroma which is a hybrid mecha-membrane. With headphones on not so bad but still. I wouldnt say the response times or anything like that have improved for gaming purposes, perhaps the linear yellow would. Overall its a solid keyboard and is aesthetically pleasing.

> 3 dayIt’s a good key board, but when I got mine, the wrist pad that I receive was torn to shreds and the spacebar’s stabilisers were broken. Performs good, but having a wobbly space bar and a wrist pad that looks like it stormed Normandy Beach takes way from that.

> 3 daySo when i first got this keyboard i was really pleased with it. I purchased this keyboard back in 2018 and have been using it since. Recently i got the razer edition lian li case to sync with my keyboard. However now in the past month my keyboard has been double typing letters and it looks like ill have to replace it, and im not sure if i want to go with another razer keyboard if ill have this same issue later on dowwn the road. At first i thought it was dust trapped in my W key so i cleaned my whole keyboard, wwelp that didnt solve the problem. My spacebar acted up as wwell, but cleaning it has fixed it. Not only does my W key double types but sometimes my D key as well. In this review u can see that WW is typed twwice, wwhich happens often and is super annoying. I see other reviewers have had the same issue, so take that into consideration if you purchase this keyboard. Oh and this is my first razer keyboard ive used, very unfortunate that they may lose a customer.

> 3 dayExcellent secondary keyboard for gaming. Very sturdy. Keys have a resonate, click, when punched (much like the keyboards of yore) but this is pleasing and very beneficial to a gaming rig.

> 3 daygreat keyboard would like a linear option but otherwise the keyboard is looks good, sound quiet and feels good. The Blackwidow Lite comes with little rubber rings that can be used to make the keyboard quieter but doesnt seem to make the keys mushy. Overall it is a great product!

> 3 dayFirst off, im reviewing this 5 hours after receiving the keyboard so I cant speak for longevity or durability at all. Ive owned one other mechanical keyboard in my life, the Corsair Strafe with mx cherry silents. That keyboard was great, nothing against it, but holy moly does this one blow the corsair out of the water. The way the keys physically feel (smooth and velvety against your fingers), the minimalistic look with no overbearing logos or fuss (just straight keys and RGB-ness), and my god that wrist rest. My corsair included a very hard plastic textured wrist rest, and while it was nice it was clunky and never something i actually wanted to use. This wrist rest makes a world of difference. Its like owning a deluxe mattress for your hands. The RGB and synapse software is great too. I do a lot of iRacing and my keyboard is synced with that software, so the RGB changes color in accordance to which flag is out while racing. I have the yellow switches, and while they are not clicky and tactile, they still feel nice to press and still give you that satisfaction every time you type that you can only get with a mechanical keyboard. I imagine if you do a ton of gaming and want to feel a definite feedback from your key presses and dont care about the bump up in noise, orange is probably the way to go. Overall, i got this on sale for 70 dollars and I feel like it was a steal. I know the big issue with Razer is durability and longevity, so fingers crossed because I really love this keyboard.

> 3 dayI bought this because I have a friend with one who recommended it but I was worried about the orange switches being too noisy. I Installed the o-rings and while that did help a lot with the noise I noticed that the switches began to sound springy which really sucked because it became too hard to not notice. Other than the springy sound its a very nice personal keyboard to use at the house but just not the best for office. I love the build quality to it and the way it sounds without the o-rings.

> 3 dayThe only thing wrong is the cable is too long. My keyboard is six inches from the computer, but the cable is 8 feet long. good sturdy cable, is IN THE WAY. Is there any way I can get a shorter cable to connect the keyboard to the computer without filling all my workspace? The keyboard itself is the best I have ever had, and Ive been dealing with keyboards for 33 years, not counting typewriters.

> 3 dayReview is for the BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 TKL. This keyboard had an unacceptably loose, wiggly space bar. I would have returned the keyboard but I took the space bar off and was able to tighten up the action by bending the wire guide and adding a rubber o-ring to the switch. Not ideal. When everything works properly this is a nice keyboard. I docked one star for the quality control problems and a second star, bringing it to three, because Razer made some design decisions with this keyboard that are bad for gaming. Lets start with the wrist rest. I feel this is a real shame, because the wrist wrest is super comfortable, but: I find it sucks for gaming. It is too high, leaving the left hand elevated above the keys with no real tactile feedback on where over the keys the hand is positioned. The feedback from the wrist rest is uniformly pillowy. Again, very comfortable and feels marvelous, but not good for gaming. Particularly a game where the left hand is moving around and reaching a lot for hotkeys. Think RTS like StarCraft 2 or MMOs or MOBAs. Im using the keyboard without the wrist rest which yields better results, but then the profile and angle of the keyboard feels tall and severe, respectively. Next, and this is a serious gripe: The keys are a slick ABS with no, and I mean NO, texture. This contributes again to problems with keystroke accuracy because there is no texture feedback from the keys. When using the wrist rest it is like having a keyboard that you can barely feel under your hand. Again, comfortable but it is bad for gaming. The fact that Razer sells textured PBT keycaps separately is pretty offensive. This is an expensive keyboard and they should have shipped it with the superior keycaps. I dont love it enough to spend an extra $30 making the keycaps not-terrible, because that leaves the combined problem of the wrist rest and tall profile. Some positive points. There are more than a few. I got the orange switches and they have a light, satisfying tactical feel with none of the clicky noise. Rubber o-rings can be used, making this a very quiet keyboard with them installed. I used clear o-rings to minimize disruption to the lighting. Im a forceful typist and I make all but the quietest keyboards obnoxiously loud, so this degree of quiet in a mechanical keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. Without the rubber o-rings it still clacks quite a bit when the keys bottom out. My spouse hates clicky keyboards in the house. The software allows a lot of customization of the lighting. It is very cool. The HyperShift functionality allows Caps Lock to function as a software-based modifier. Through software, every key with the exception of the Windows, Fn and F1 through F12 keys can be reprogrammed with alternative actions in either regular or HyperShift mode. The macro support is good, but note: Certain uses of the macro features on devices like this can get you banned from online games, especially competitive ones. So exercise caution and restraint. ;) This is a nice keyboard to type on even though I dont love it for gaming. The palm/wrist rest is very comfortable, the key action is good with keys that dont move around too much under my fingers. The ergonomics of the modifier keys is excellent, and the modifiers are large making it easier to find them. Windows key, Alt+F4 and Alt+Tab can be disabled through gaming mode. Key travel is a little shorter than your average mechanical keyboard, and with rubber o-rings it becomes even shorter, bottoming out around 3mm. I like that. I also bought a Deathadder V2 mouse and unfortunately had to return the first one for being defective and already retired the second one for being ineffective due to a poorly designed and implemented right mouse button. I tried to give Razer a go with this build but I wont be staying with their products.

> 3 dayBought in March 2020. Its now May 2023. The keyboard itself was perfect for me... but the left ALT key no longer works. I use the keyboard for work and light gaming. Im disappointed because I have a Razer mouse that lasted almost a decade. That was through lots of gaming sessions.
