Edited to add: I am updating and reducing my rating of this keyboard. I absolutely loved it -- when it worked. I retain the complaints about the updates. And I loved the feel of the keyboard and the programmable light. Unfortunately, it just gives too much problems. After one update, it slowed down, didnt strike keys, and when I hit an O, it gave lines and lines of them. I gave up and am back to a RedDragon, which is disappointing because I cant program the keyboard lights in the same productive way. But its clacky and serves the purpose comfortably. So all in all I am terribly disappointed in this keyboard. I wish I wasnt. I love the clacky keys, and the feel is wonderful. When the personalized light pattern works, thats great and very helpful. Unfortunately, as far as I can see there is no way to stop automatic updates of this software, and every time it updates it screws up the lighting pattern. Right now it is doing the stupid and annoying phasing between colors, and I cannot even get the software to open up to change it. In a day or so it will probably unexpectedly kick in, leaving me to wonder, what the bloody hell? Only the top keys are highlighted, not the shift keys. And sometimes it turns itself on and off with no reason that I can see. Finally, the cord is bizarre and very sensitive. I ended up buying a second one because it fell off the table and the power connection broke. Despite these extremely annoying problems, the feel does it for me. Other than that, great keyboard!

I play many different games and its works well with most of them. But recently Ive been playing a rhythm game called Friday Night Funkin. When I go to hold down the notes, for less than a fraction of a second the keys stop registering which causes me to get a miss in the game and it almost makes it impossible for me to play. If you do not care about rhythm games, I would highly recommend this as it works well with everything else.

This is my first mechanical keyboard purchase after it came highly recommended from a friend who has the Razer Ultimate. I have used mechanical keyboards 20 years ago when I first got introduced to computers and the clicky sound of the keys was intriguing; and over the period of time silent keyboards took over my life and became a norm. I think this is a very well made keyboard and the keys are back-lit and responsive. I primarily use it for office work and occasional gaming. I type fast and some of the keyboards I have used in the past have a bouncy feel to them while some others have keys that have resistance built-in them; but this keyboard is not like that; the keys press so easily and retract back very quickly offering good tactile feedback...you type and you are ready for the next press allowing you to type so fast and accurately. The spacing of the keys is good too and the crunchy & clicky sound is like a rhythm for my mind and the ears wanting me to type more. This is Razers compact keyboard version and does not have a number pad; so not ideal for number crunchers. Dimensions of the keyboard is 14 x 5 x 0.5 inch (355 x 127 x 12.7 mm) and comes with a braided detachable cable. This is suppose to be a tactile & silent keyboard but in reality they are not quiet; they have that clicky sound to them which I desired most. However, it comes with orange colored sound dampeners (called O-rings) in the box which need to be put around the keys to keep them silent; I have not done that though. Overall, a great compact keyboard for a super fast typing experience if you can live without the number pad.

Came with everything including the bag for the cable but not the cable itself.

I bought this keyboard a short time after Christmas when it was on sale for $70. I wouldn’t say it’s worth over $100 dollars but I am pretty cheap. I got the yellow switches and they really feel like a membrane key feel with a pretty “smooth” sound to them . The wrist rest is pretty nice for using it for 5 minutes, but it is pretty big and takes up too much space for my desk so I don’t use it. You can probably do anything your mind could come up to with the lights if you get the Razor Synapse but I just leave mine on a static color because my eyes get distracted by the flashing lights. Overall, definitely worth $70 might be worth $100 and definitely seems a bit much for $130… so if it’s on sale , buy it.

I used a regular Black Widow Chroma for years before switching to this one. I use it primarily for gaming so I like the feedback and feel of a mechanical keyboard but I wanted something quieter. While this is definitely not silent, it is noticeably quieter than the green switches. I took to the feel of the orange switches immediately with no issue as they really do have a pleasant feel in my opinion. They still give satisfying feedback with each key press despite feeling different so it was easy to swap to this one without feeling like anything was lost between the two. If youre looking for something truly silent, this is not it, but theres an obvious difference compared to the green switches. This tenkeyless one doesnt have the USB port on the side like the normal one and I do miss that but I knew this upon buying it. The power cord is a very ample length though; my tower is several feet away from my desk and there is cord to spare. The RGB lighting is stellar and each key can be individually programmed to any color you can think of. With Razer Synapse, you can save multiple profiles that are easy to switch between and the level of customization you get is almost overwhelming because there is just so much you can do. You can set it to stay on the color(s) you want or pick one of many light patterns and also change the brightness. I think Synapse is quite user friendly and I was able to easily figure out how to do everything I wanted with it just by playing around with it a little on my own. Ive never used a wrist pad before but this came with one so I tried it out. Its magnetic and snaps right on and stays securely but I really disliked using it. Its nicely padded but I felt it raised my wrist a little too high for it to feel natural during use. Luckily it isnt built in so I just easily removed it and simply dont use it. After weeks with this, Im extremely happy with it. Its in perfect condition and I have no issues with any keys sticking or anything like that. I had my previous Razer keyboard for many years and its still going strong. I only switched because I wanted a smaller and quieter one and Ive seen nothing at so far that would make me doubt this ones longevity.

I decided recently to upgrade both of my keyboards to mechanical ones, and after doing quite a lot of research, I decided that these BlackWidow TKL linear switch keyboards were the best fit for me with price and performance in mind. Overall Im pretty happy: the touch and feel of the keyboard is wonderful (I really prefer the linear switches), the wrist rest is essential and quite comfortable, and the TKL size allows me to position the keyboard near the mouse, which for me is ergonomically much better. (I had been using a Logitech Wave for years, and Im still a bit surprised by how much better this keyboard is for me overall.) Downsides? Firstly, these are the keys with the secondary characters not lit: if you want those lit, you have to spend about $30 more to get the PBT keycap upgrade package. (Or you can buy another Razer TKL product, most likely without a wrist rest.) Secondly, I dont like the light under the keys, I think thats quite unnecessary and distracting, actually making it harder to read those unlit characters. Oh, and my pet peeve is the Delete key being the same size as the others: I happen to use it almost as often as I use backspace, and much prefer keyboards where that key is made larger. Finally, you want to hope you never need Razer customer service. My experience with them has been pretty bad: theyre really slow, they dont do what they say theyll do, and it can take several days and multiple attempts to do something that with Amazon takes about 5 minutes. They dont seem to take it seriously enough.

I bought this keyboard to replace another RGB Mechanical keyboard that I spilled liquids on and could no longer use. Pros: Looks great and I Love the small form factor. Keys are not as loud as other mechanical keyboards and can be dampened further with the included bands to put under the keys. Cons: Even though I bought this keyboard for the small form factor, I feel like there are times when I would use a tenkey. This is not a huge con, but if you use a tenkey at least once in a while, you will miss it. I am also still learning to use this keyboard as it is not like the old RGB mechanical. This keyboard is working great for my gaming. I still wish that some of the <Shift> keys for special characters like @, #, $, % etc, were also lit up like the numbers are.

----------------------------------- English ----------------------------------------- I bought the keyboard based on a lot of reviews and it is perfect to work with, being tenkeyless it is easier to grip the mouse closely, the orange + orings switches reduce noise a lot but nevertheless being a mechanical keyboard it will always do more noise than a conventional keyboard, if typed correctly, the noise can be moderated. Recommended to work, to play it also works very well but perhaps for something more precise other types of switches are better (such as Linear optical switches or cherry MX Silent red) ------------------------------------ Español ------------------------------------------ Compré el teclado en base a un monton de revisiones y es perfecto para trabajar, al ser tenkeyless es mas fácil agarrar el mouse teniendolo cerca, los switches naranjas + orings reducen mucho el ruido pero sin embargo por ser un teclado mecanico el siempre hara mas ruido que un teclado convencional, si se escribe de forma correcta el ruido se puede moderar. recomendado para trabajar, para jugar tambien funciona muy bien pero quizas para algo mas preciso es mejor otro tipo de switches (como los Linear optical switches o cherry MX Silent red)
