> 3 dayIll be honest, I never opened it, likely missing out on this umbrellas greatest qualities. Unfortunately, my monitor didnt render the true nature of the umbrellas color very well. I guess I should have thought more about the fact that its described as slate blue- just be aware than this color is more of a bluish grey than a light blue color. Also, I wont challenge the advertised weight of 15oz, since I didnt weigh it myself, but for some reason this umbrella felt heavy in hand compared to some other travel ones, more like it was at least 1lb. To just have in luggage in case of light rain during travel, I vote no. (for info on durability in gale force winds, please see a different review)

Greater than one weekIf I carry this in my handbag I hurt my shoulder - it’s so heavy!! It’s nice but I leave it in trunk of car. Haven’t used it yet!

> 3 daythis umbrella fit perfectly in my book bag, just in case its a rainy/windy day. At first, when you use it. It has this weird smell but after a while it disappears.

15-06-2025It gets so windy in downtown Boston, add in the rain and it can be a mess to walk through the area. I got tire of wasting money on cheap umbrellas from CVS that would snap and break on the same day that I bought them, leaving me out in the rain, cold, and wind. Since Im often buying everything else from Amazon, I decided to take a chance on this umbrella. I read the reviews and bought it. So far, it hasnt gotten me through one rainy and windy day without breaking so I am satisfied.

> 3 dayI really enjoy the sturdiness of the this umbrella. It cost more than I would have like to spent, but in the long run I believe its well worth it. You get what you pay for. Buy the cheap umbrellas and they fold up during high winds. This one can take the wind and maintain its shape. Highly recommend.
