> 3 dayFor years Ive used propane heaters on my pipes to keep them from freezing in my well house for my off the grid house. Electric heaters took too much electricity. This bulb keeps things from freezing but is energy efficient enough to not drain my batteries and last overnight without me having to charge the batteries from the generator. Love it. Wish I discovered it years before. My cats like it too, keeps them warm.

> 3 dayThe bulb is good and heats my leopard geckos tank nicely. Only thing is it goes out quicker than Id like, I find myself replacing the bulb sooner than I thought I would have to. It is fairly inexpensive which is nice.

> 3 dayWorks for our chicks. Much better than having a light on all night. We raise a lot of hatchlings and this doesn’t warm them as much as is recommended for baby chicks, however, we don’t heat our coop so I prefer they get a hardier start.

> 3 daySo far this is working well. It is great for day or night heat when youre trying to maintain some humidity. I usually prefer flukers, but I needed a lower wattage so I went with this one. I will update if I have any issues with it!

> 3 dayI like how it radiates heat. It does have an effect of drying out the surrounding area, so if you can mist the substrate, go ahead and do that. I can pour a cup of purified water on to the coir substrate and humidity will be ideal. I use it with a cage type clamp light fixture.

> 3 dayUsed this all winter for my parakeets. It gets cold and drafty in my house. Uses very little energy, but is an excellent product. I used it in a standard lamp. When its particularly cold, I turn it on next to the bird cage. The birds love it and it keeps them nice and warm. I only use it when Im home due to risk of fire.

> 3 dayThis is weak enough that you don’t need a rheostat if you have a large enclosure and have an infrared thermometer to make sure it doesn’t overheat. Note: from my testing, the 60W rating is for 110V. My home tends to have 118-120V, so this bulb on full blast uses 65-66W. If you have a small enclosure, I recommend getting a rheostat. If I put it on full power, the substrate surface gets up to about 100°F, which isn’t actually a problem for my type of reptile, but I prefer to use it at 45W, which keeps the surface temperature around 91-95°F
