> 3 dayThe ceramic heat lamp bulb is good for providing heat but not light to a cage or coup. I use mine to provide heat for my 6 quails in their coup, and for my box turtle in his indoor habitat. How much heat depends on how close the lamp is lowered but it does put out heat in an area that is about twice the radius of the bulb. I have my bulb in a lamp with a metal shade. You will need a thermometer under the heat lamp to know what the temp is. My turtle stays under the heat lamp for awhile to get warm and to bask under the uv lamp which is located next to the heat lamp. He doesnt get too hot and the temperature probe stays at about 75 to 80 degrees.

> 3 dayI was quit amazed by this ceramic light bulb I didn’t realized that it gets extremely hot. So be careful handling while it’s on. Great light and is doing the purpose it is intended to do with our lizards

Greater than one weekMy first time using this type of heat bulb and it really warms up! Using it for a nile monitor. She still requires a basking light but this provides alot of warmth

> 3 dayThis bulb is ok, but not very warm, I wanted use it to make an incubator, but it is too cold and low power to heat from above unless it is close. Im keeping it to use as a heat lamp for when the ducklings hatch to warm them, might use another bulb I have that is hotter first as this is not very powerful.
