> 3 dayFairly solid bulb. Smelled a little like some for a bit but went away. Make sure to use the proper dome too! Ceramic is the way to go.

> 3 dayHave the 60 watt version, just came up on the 6 month mark and its still going strong. Use it on my chaiwallahs crate, because of the AC I run this year round. She likes it about 75F and I like it about 68. So she has a place to go warm up if shes feeling a chill. Im using a plastic socket with a metal reflector with no issue. I have it on top of her crate not inside it so if it were to fall apart the hot bulb would drop about a half an inch then be stopped by the metal bars of the crate. No risk to her, and not going to ignite her bedding. Prior to this I was using a 75 watt lightbulb which she liked but the constant light I figured probably didnt help her sleep. The two cats also take advantage of it especially during the winter.

> 3 dayWorks great! I use this with the Flukers 5.5 Repta-Clamp Lamp with Switch, and it gets my birds to a consistent 80-85 degrees F where theyre happiest. Its really consistent and reliable, and I havent had any problems.

> 3 dayWorks good for keeping my cabinet above freezing. I store glue and paint in it.

> 3 dayPerfect for 20 gallon long tank. Provides ambient air temperatures to create a thermal gradient for my ball python. She has a heat pad hot spot of 90 degrees and with this emitter the cool side stays right around 80 degrees (about 86 degrees directly under the lamp in the middle of enclosure). She was far more active the very first night that I had the lamp installed (she used to only come out for a few hours in the very early ams but is active all hours of the night). I am loving this so far! The only con is that it has immediately nuked any humidity that the tank was holding by at least 20% so be prepared to counter act that. EDIT: By using Zoo Meds Forest Floor substrate I have been able to get to the desired humidity by simply poring water directly onto the substrate. Be careful not to add too much, all you are trying to do is re-hydrate the mulch.
