This controller does offer long battery life, feels right to me having grown up playing the original Genesis, and works just fine... But theres a definite quality control problem with the plastic tabs that operate the D-pad. One of them broke within less than two hours of use, and contacting the manufacturer was no help. At least I was able to repair it myself with some super glue and none of the other tabs have snapped off.

This controller is garbage. The LED light and shoulder buttons broke after one minor drop. The D-pad broke after a month of normal use. The battery doesn’t hold a charge. It is cheap plastic and then when I attempted to get a replacement with the $5 warranty I bought, I got the run-around. I will never buy another Retro*hit controller. They are trash.

I would rate it 3.5 stars if I could. It feels like an original genesis controller in terms of ergonomics and quality. The buttons and d-pad feel just as good as the original as well. The only issues are the controller charges via mini USB. I would have preferred USB-C but its not a big deal. The other issue is pairing. Sometimes it pairs on start up and sometimes it requires one of the three methods for pairing. It gets a little frustrating when you just want to power up and jump into a game but you have to take five minutes to get it connected.

The feel of it. It doesnt feel cheap. The buttons are pretty responsive with no lag or at least no noticeable lag.

I ordered this controller for my Genesis mainly because I wanted a more modern wireless solution. This controller does not disappoint. It comes with a nice case, a charging cable (micro-usb, why not usb-C?), and transmitters for both USB and for the Genesis 9-pin. So not only can I use it on the Genesis, but I can also use it on my PC. I also really like the way this controller feels in my hands, especially compared to the bulky three-button original Genesis controller. This one just fits nicely in my hands.

Very good presentation with a dedicated case and a 90s-looking packaging, the built quality is excellent and works without any hassle. If you are a Genesis fan, it is a must-have item.

This thing is WAY too small. Knowing that adults from the 90s with now ADULT SIZE HANDS are going to be the chief consumers of this product, why on EARTH would you make this thing so small? What were you thinking? I will keep it only because I need a 6-button control to play some of the later Genesis games, but if it werent for that I would send this thing back. I very rarely write reviews, and rarely negative ones, but the design of this just doesnt make sense. The original Genesis Mini controller was already a bit too small, and somehow these guys managed to make one EVEN smaller. Hopefully someday, someone makes a controller with the exact dimensions of the original. Those controllers were great back then even when I had smaller hands because its size made you feel like you had a good full handle on it.

Replicates the original 6-button Genesis controller perfectly. Works so well with Genesis Mini and the Switch too!

If youre looking to get into emulating the Genesis and Saturn on PC this works great! Also good for fighting games like Mortal Kombat 11
