Ruvati 15 x 20 inch Drop-in Topmount Bar Prep Sink 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Single Bowl - RVH8110

We had looked at a LOT of sinks over the past several months but are so happy we selected the Ruvati--the quality of the 16 gauge stainless can immediately be felt and seen. From the cavernous basin to the finely fitted drain cup this sink screams quality as was immediately noticed by dinner guests who no doubt remember the previous ceramic one. Unlike many we looked at it, the Ruvati included the grate and drain--not to mention free shipping. We also looked in the big box stores and mega hardware stores but found only 20 gauge or 18 gauge offerings at best and they paled in comparison. OK, enough of the accolades--great sink, buy it, youll not regret it. The company is so proud of their product it came securely stowed in layers of rigid cardboard, then wrapped in a nylon bag to preclude any abrasions. Heck, it even came with what looked like a giant diploma (certificate of authenticity I believe). While I confess that some of the reviews claiming food sometimes doesnt make it to the drain without some coaxing--that simply comes with the territory with a vessel of these dimensions! We had a flood in our kitchen in January. We had to replace almost everything! I purchased this sink because the description said it was exactly what I wanted! I like a huge sink that can contain all the water mess that we make while cleaning up. This sink is perfect in so many ways! If I could have an affair with an inanimate object, it would be this sink! I highly recommend this sink or any other sink by Ruvati! When we were having the sink installed by a so-called professional the person who arrived to install it led me to believe he had installed the clips that hold it in but he had not. After I paid him and he left, we figured out by trying to use the sink that it was NOT CLIPPED in! The plumbers boss would not do the right thing so I called the manufacturer to find out where I could get more clips, and Ruvati sent me replacement clips at no charge because of the trouble! Ruvati is the kind of company that makes me feel good about making a purchase with them. I highly recommend their products and will purchase their products again.

The sink looks perfect in our contemporary house. Way better than the white cast iron double-bowl sink that we had before and so much easier to clean. Yes it does scratch without much force, but I think thats the standard with stainless steel sinks. You dont drag metal objects along the front of your stainless fridge, do you? With that being said, I would highly recommend using the included grate for the bottom of the sink to protect it. I also like the extra deep drain basket to catch all of the food since we have a septic mound system and its good to keep it as clean as possible. Make sure to measure twice before you buy and check the plumbing under the sink to see if it will fit without having to call a plumber. Keep in mind that the sink drops almost straight down vs. our old curved sink so it will fill the entire undersink area. We had to reconfigure the drain pipes underneath so it would fit correctly. No regrets with this sink. Its a great centerpiece to our kitchen.

Comparing this to the 20gauge sink I bought at homedepot a few months ago is almost a joke. This is the most solid thing I have seen sink related and has a nice hefty weight and cant wait to see it installed in new granite counters next month. The 20 gauge sink from hd is already rusting in some spots after 2 months and cost the same price as this for a 33x22 size. Shouldve gone with this to start with in the first place. Thicker metal = longer lasting sink.

I bought this sink for my wife for Christmas 2017 as a replacement for the double bowl sink already in our laundry room. Finally, after about a year, she decided to call a plumber and get it installed. The plumber came and installed the new sink and without any solicitation he told my wife that we a had a really nice sink and he was impressed at how easy it was to install and how beautiful it looked. My wife is really pleased with it as it does look nice and is deeper than what she had before. Im glad to have purchased this one. My only quibble is that it seems the rinse grid was left out of the box, but since a year has gone by I cant complain.

Item arrived in perfect condition - excellent protective packaging and I was delighted with the quality of the product.

Great product when it comes to quality - hands down. Not a cheap thin walled sink. We have a BnB and our old two sided sink limits how much we could place inside during service as well as limited the size of hand wash pans and cooking sheets - which would easily fit. This sink allows all service dishes to be stored inside and all sheet pans we use fit flat with room to spare. The depth is a must when feeding a three course meal to 20 customers. Installation was a breeze. Had to open the counter hole a bit as the old sink had a large lip around the edge...this sink does not have the wasted space of a large lip. Square side walls allowed for additional usage space but may require about .250 cut around old hole to fit.

The sink is remarkable. Before viewing this sink, I had no idea that a sink could ever be described as stylish. This one is (-: Its also very functional as its 10 depth prevents water splashing back onto the mirrored splashback each time the faucet is turned on which is what was happening with the previous sink. I thought that I was going to toss the bottom grid into the trash as I couldnt imagine a use for it. But I rarely ever take it out as the sink can be cleaned with the pull-out faucet (a pull-out faucet is necessary if you plan to install this sink or keeping it clean and free of debris would be a hassle). I had to drill a 5th hole as wanted to accomodate a single-hole faucet, a dishwasher airgap, a garbage disposer air switch, a soap dispenser, as well as a smaller faucet for drinking water from the under-sink water filtration system. I used a stepped drill bit which made that task much easier. I never received a template and customer service never responded to phone or email messages so I took the cutout measurements given here by a Ruvatti eemployee and used those to cut out a larger hole in my granite sink. These measurements were wrong and I struggled to get the sink into the cutout space and had to re-cut 3/4 off 3 sides to accomplish this. Awkward and damaged the granite. Aside from this installation problem and one caused by the fact that my sink base cabinet was 3 too narrow and I had to cut out the side of it and put in position a new cabinet side to support the granite overhead, reduce the size of a drawer and a cabinet door. All worth it to have this sink now in place!

Just installed this sink. Looks fantastic. Real high quality material. No loud water sound. I did have a professional install it so I cant speak to that part of it. I cant believe how much I like this sink. It looks waaaay bigger than my double basin sink but its the same size. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the slant at the bottom. The other reviews are right. The cut of the bottom is not angled enough for food particles to flow easily to the drain. Rice, pasta, etc needs a removable spray nozzle to push the food to the drain. Like watering down your driveway of debri. Other than that, I love my new sink.

I love this sink. Our plumber loved it, too (he went on about wealthy clients -not moi, we not wealthy - insisting upon sinks and faucets that require lots of time to retrofit because they are not of topnotch quality, and how hed rather have a quick job with nice materials -such as the Ruvati sink and Kraus (KPF-2130) faucet that I chose, than rack up hours with stuff that looks good but wont last). I cook a lot and wanted a deep single sink for pot filling, dirty cookware depositing, etc. This fit the bill and It is simple and of very high quality. It is heavy stainless steel. Care is thus predictable and easy. The (also stainless, with rubber feet) drain grid needs removal and cleaning regularly - no big deal, but it helps the sink not scratch. Look up simple elegance and this sink might be there! Another consideration: we cannot afford to replace our counters now, but I purchased the sink (and faucet) with that eventuality in mind. The sink is overmounted on our cheapish composite counter, but the plumber has confirmed that when we replace the counter, the sink can easily be undermounted with the included hardware!
