I had never used a hard drive before. I have an iPad Pro. I wanted to be able to store pictures, music videos, and films, so it would not eat up the memory on my iPad. I also wanted to be able to be able to watch them directly on my iPad from the attached hard drive. This Samsung T7 allows me to do all of that. The process of transferring items to the hard drive is simple. The playback quality is excellent. I first had to plug the hard drive into my laptop to set up the Samsung App and account. Once I did that I was ready to set up the hard drive on my iPad. I connected it using a USB-C Digital Av Multiport Adapter from Apple. It immediately showed up as T7 in locations under Files on the iPad. I did not need to do anything else. On my iPad I selected a video to Move, selected Save to T7 in Locations and it transferred the file. When I clicked on that item on the hard drive, it immediately played back at the same quality as the original. I was then free to delete that item from my iPad. I am very pleased with this item. It is easy to use and gives me the freedom to have these items available to me on any device.

Here is the solution that I use to store all of my PS4 digital games for use on my PS5. I attach this to the fastest front USB port on my PS5. The PS5 easily recognizes it. Games load quickly to play directly from it and I have never had a single error or crash in more than a year of use.

I had contacted Samsung SSD support about a failed drive. They had me return it to them for service. They said it couldnt be repaired and would issue me a refund. I have been trying to get this refund since July 2022. The drive was purchased on Sept. 8th, 2020. It failed with some goo leaking from the label end of drive. Most likely a failed tantalum capacitor. This caused the drive to disconnect after trying to tranfer a file. I have spent many hours patiently on the phone: listening to music while on hold for extended periods of time(months). I believe their goal was to have me hangup. I didnt do that for months. Im done with Samsung.

I bet this is good for gaming, but I use it to stream my Sample Instruments for Composing.

Everyday at least once or twice it disconnects itself from the computer.

Had bad areas in my hard drive that didn’t allow certain maps and was very sluggish on Modern Warefare (PC game) 240gb game. I formatted this and redownloaded the game along with Battle.net to the T7. Game works flawlessly again and since it on the SSD the load time are cut in half. Definitely worth it!
