I bought two of these 1TB T7 SSD to replace two older 5TB spinning hard drives. They are used as Time Machine backup drives for the Mac mini. The speed increase and access time decrease are incredible. It is hard to estimate how much faster these new T7s are, but suffice it to say they are orders of magnitude faster. Time Machine does its backups and I dont even realize its happening. For me, a very good upgrade!

This SSD is super fast with a ton of storage and is super light. I carry this around in my case with my MacBook Pro and use it as a Time Machine backup. You cant use the Samsung Magician software with M1 MacBooks without changing the security settings, but other than that there are no issues at all with this drive. Id strongly recommend it for backups.

I purchased this drive to replace one I had just purchased that had issues. This drive is super small, lightweight, and has high-capacity storage. I have been using it for about 2 months now with no difficulties whatsoever. Ill probably end up purchasing another one.

Using this external SSD drive as my operating system startup drive instead of the internal 1TB hard drive and it sped up the whole system. No more beach balling. Everything is much more snappier even though the usb interface is “just” 3.0.
