> 3 dayI bought two of these for my new computer and used them to back up the old machine in preparation for moving all of my data to the new machine. They are incredibly small, lightweight, and lightning fast! I transferred about 920GB of data to them in 38 minutes each. Wow! It doesnt get much better than this...

> 3 dayBought this drive to have a place to store pictures without paying recurring fees on google photos. The drive ended up having soo much space that I ended up backing up my entire computer and it still got loads of space

> 3 dayI have many thousands of photos redundantly backed up on external hard drives. Theyre terrific but big and not realistically portable since they need to be plugged into the wall in addition to the computer. This little 1Tb SSD fits in my pocket and doesnt require external power. Its fast enough (1050MB/s) that I can easily do do complex edits straight from the drive. Very cool little device

> 3 dayWhen you buy an external hard drive you expect plug and play type of functionality. This SSD is a real problem. I have an ACER desktop and it took me quite a while to get it connected. Finding the right driver which you have to download from Samsung was a problem. As pointed out by other reviewers the text message that comes with the SSD gives no directions. Then when I had downloaded the driver I found out that I had to use the USB c port on my PC to connect to the device but a second time that did not get recognized when I plugged it in and I needed to use the USB blue regular connection. The third time only the USB c port was recognized. These ports on my PC connect to other devices without any problems. And connecting to my Samsung Galaxy S10 cell phone? Never did figure out how to get that going. Other than that, it is sleek and small and would be ideal for carrying around. But if you want to connect it to a new device, you might find out that is a headache.

Greater than one weekHad to update my review below & knock one star off. I had indicated the Samsung 1TB SSD was easy to format and partition for my two backups, SuperDuper & Time Machine. After a few days running my SuperDuper partition failed/crashed. It turned out partitioning the SSD caused the SuperDuper backup program to fail. This is probably not the fault of the Samsung SSD, rather an issue with the SuperDuper program trying to use a partitioned AFSP Mac format. My only solution was to purchase another Samsung SSD external drive and use one for each of the backup programs. Works fine that way, just not the way I had originally intended them to work.
