    Bought this too back up all my music files I have purchased through years. It worked great and simply. Since it is SSD its also very fast. No complaints. Look for when it goes on sale and buy it. I bought the 2TB one.

    Its really fast. I have no problems editing photos and videos with this drive. I love that I can easily switch between my pc and mac. I have it on all the time and it does not get hot. Warm at times, but never hot.

    Files within the drive started to corrupted after 6 months used. I’ve lost a lot of important files!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    I like the sleek profile of it, and the blue looks nice. I run high performance virtual instruments off this drive through a powered USB hub for my iMac. Everything works as it should, and it was easy to reformat the drive for optimization with ProTools, which I wanted to do. I believe this would be more than enough for others.

    I have a number of these i use for photos and videos. The transfer speeds from my cameras (4k) onto these is significantly faster than standard hard drives. Theyre also easily portable, both small and lightweight. So far theyve worked great for me.

    I am using this drive to provide offsite backups. Internet backups are no feasible for large (multi terabytes) backups. Actual backup speeds require the latest USB hardware on you machine. Thermal heating did not appear to be a problem at the maximum USB speed I could reach on my 3 year old hardware. It was about as fast as a backup to 1 year old internal drives. the physical size is small enough to fit easily in a safety deposit box as off site storage.

    DON’T BUY! After a a few months of storing files on this device it gave me a notice saying “you need to format the disk before you can use it” and now all my files are gone
