Read speed is not as fast as advertised. Not good for gaming use.

Horrible transfer rates. Slower than a non SSD. Too late to return so wasted money.

I use it as a recreational music producer, and I am happy with it. Ultra fast and its nice that it come with USB C.

Reading is as advertised. Used as win10 boot drive for 2020 27iMac. Cannot use the included Samsung security software in this configuration. Drive has had several hickups between rebooting, chkdsk was needed to repair on a recovery USB stick. I am not sure why. I did setup OSX not to mount the T7 drive on booting into Catalina to prevent any possibility of corruption (OSX can read but not write to the T7 anyway). I also noticed a message saying drive was not ejected correctly after shutting down and restarting WIN10 on occasion, which may be an issue between the T7 and Windows 10 and the iMac bootcamp drivers. So beware of this.

Bought this to expand my shields storage. Works great!

Its really small and portable yet doesnt feel cheap. Works well. I partitioned it into 2 spaces, one for my PC items on a computer that died and this is all thats left is whats on the partition and the second half is for my Mac, my current computer, doing my daily backups. Size wise it fits into the palm of a small woman but feels well made. I recommend and would buy again. I bought the 1T size but might buy bigger next time.
