An excellent choice. I would buy it again.

Pleased with the heavy duty-seeming dongle cord, which is especially helpful with laptops where it gets torqued around during use pretty good. The drive itself runs a little warm. R/W is nice and fast, and it helps a lot to run our media files from there to speed up our Adobe Premiere and After Effects projects by quite a bit.

I bought this for the sustained 1000MB/s read/write speeds and this thing delivers. You need high quality cables (not those cheapos from 7-11) and a USB 3.2 port. I had to hunt on my motherboard to find them, and I only had 2 USB-A style 3.2 ports and 1 USB-C style 3.2 on the back IO. The front panel USB-A and USB-C on my motherboard only supports 3.1. So make SURE you have USB 3.2 ports, otherwise just buy a cheaper and slower drive.

Fast, and lightweight. Great portability. So far no complaints. Exactly what I hoped for in this device.

I have 3 250gig units 1 500 gig unit and 1 1TB unit, I use them as redundant back ups for my Photography business.

When I received the SSD, something was wrong with it. The usb port had scratches and the SSD did not work properly so I returned it and decided to get it directly from Western Digital. Now, I have the 2TB version and I am more than happy.

I was surprised with how small and light it was. It’s perfect for someone like me, who usually carry an external hard drive while traveling. The transfer speed is pretty awesome to me. I recommend this drive!

SanDisk has an inability to wrote software. The app doesnt see the drive most of time. It just keeps flashing and screen twitching. Absolutely useless app. impossible to use on android. PC experience is not much better.

Really good SSD I love it.
