> 24 hour2tb is actually 1.81tb and its a little slow, but it works. Transferred around 100 gigs of photos for backup I had stored away from weddings and events, so hopefully it holds up and doesnt die like other reviews have suggested. Took around 30 mins to transfer the 5k plus files. Overall happy with it so far.

> 24 hourBacked up my computer on this. It was super easy. It says slim but I didnt really understand just how skinny and light this thing is. Turn it sideways and it practically disappears!

> 24 hourI work primarily on a PC but also have a Macbook to handle some encoding tasks on the go and I needed an external drive that would allow me to pack up my desktop projects for work on the road. I know there are ways to format any drive to work across platforms but I was looking for something that worked out of the box. Upon opening the package I immediately saved an aftereffects file to it off of my desktop PC and was able to open it no problem on my Macbook. No software to install, no formatting required, just plug and play. I should also note the form factor is good, slim and nicely brushed plastic. Probably not something Id want to throw across the room but looks nice and gets the job done. Well see how long it holds up and I havent tested transfer speeds on larger files yet but for now I can safely recommend it based on functionality and price point alone.

> 24 hourI got it because its $30 cheaper than the Xbox imprinted version, and I like it. I had trouble with initial set up, since you need to put it in a specific SS USB slot, but otherwise its fine. For those who are plugging it into their Xbox, just know that you have to plug it in and perform connection setup while its on. Count to ten, and if nothing has popped up by then, its in the wrong SS port. Minus a star only for setup, but otherwise its been doing its job just fine, and Im satisfied with that.

> 24 hourI use this for my PS4 and I am so thankful to be able to add on to the 500GB storage. I dont have to delete a game to play a different game now and that is a pretty big deal. Great product for what I needed.

> 24 hourPurchased for my xbox one because I only have 500GB of storage and my friends like to hop around on different games. I hated having to uninstall/reinstall different games just to play with them. And thats not included my own games that I play alone, as well. Hooked it up to the xbox via the one of the usb ports on the back side and the xbox prompted me to format the harddrive for gaming use. Instantly started downloading all of my games and had no issues! I will say, at first I couldnt get the external harddrive to turn off when I would turn off my xbox. The secret is going to your system settings and selecting turn off storage when xbox is off and also going to the updates/downloads setting and turning off auto update console and auto update games/apps. The auto updates/downloads options are directly linked to your games, which, if theyre on your external harddrive, they need to be accessible, i.e. the harddrive needs to be on or on standby (the light will be on). After I finished the above-mentioned settings, I turned my xbox off (on standby, NOT hard shutdown). I noticed the harddrive light wasnt turning off so then I did a hard shutdown and I think thats when the settings really were executed. Now the harddrive stays off when xbox is off/on standby. It also does not overheat. It gets a little warm, which is expected, but never too hot to the touch or anything. Im definitely happy with this purchase because its made my gaming life a lot more convenient/efficient and Ive already recommended it to my friends.

> 24 hourMy network attached storage devices both died within a month of each other. Rather than spending the money for a new network attached device, I bought this Seagate 2tb Backup Plus. Set up for use as a Time Machine backup disk is not as simple as “plug and play”. But it was pretty easy and worked like a charm. The set up instructions say that it has to be reformatted for use with Time Machine but that happens automatically when you map it as your backup disk. Added benefit - having the drive connected directly to my MacBook makes the backup process run much faster than when I was backing up to a network storage device.
