This is a very small capacity compressor for intermittent air demand. I mostly use it in my home woodshop for running a brad nailer. It does that very well. And I use it to clear dust from my projects for gluing, etc. Its very good for adding a few pounds of air to a car tire. Compared with many compressors, it is very quiet. Its also incredibly light and portable. Seems to be of good quality. No leaks. It will fire a few nails from a large framing nailer, then needs to recharge. For around my home, I like it a lot.

I bought this originally for my office so we can blow out the inside of our pcs and workstations from time to time. Ive managed to find more use for it too. We recently started dismantling pallets and this has worked great with our pneumatic denailing gun. Although I didnt particularly count how many pulls I got before it would cycle the motor, it was enough that I could usually get through a plank and let it recycle while I get the next one. The weight makes it really easy to tote around.

This little compressor is just what I was looking for! If youve got to do a little trim work and dont want to lug the big boy out, this is light and very quiet! It is not made to frame a house with! Small jobs where you dont want to break your back! It does cycle a lot, but it is only one gallon. That is to be expected. I bet(with the right regulator/filter) it would make a great airbrush compressor! Love this thing!!

Yep! We needed a second compressor to keep 2 roofing nailers going. It wasnt the main nailer but it kept us moving instead of having to hand a nailer back and forth. I originally bought it as a handy and portable back up to my main large one, like something I could throw in my truck if I needed to go and help out with a project away from home base. Perfect main compressor for smaller volume needs on smaller installation projects or an awesome second on a bigger one.

First off, let me tell you that I have five compressors and a couple of inflators now and have used many in over thirty years of contracting. This thing is great. After using my buddys I ordered one the next day. This does not take the place of my twin tank Empire unit for framing or heavier trim work, this will not take the place of a shop compressor or job-site unit. However - for a quick trim or repair job with a pinner, narrow crown stapler and even up to my 15ga finish nailer this is just fine. What a joy to carry this instead of a 50-60 pound unit in and out of small jobs. Quiet, quick, light and seems well built. The regulator was sticking for a while but that cleared up and I cracked the gauge glass getting it in and out of the truck so often. Still just keeps on pumping.

This air compressor is incredibly compact, sturdy, reliable and above all QUIET!!!! I bought the smallest compressor Lowes hardware had to offer (Blue Hawk 2gal) to check the volume against this one and this compressor is noticeably more quiet. If you have small air projects or you are a modeling enthusiast, BUY THIS COMPRESSOR! I originally bought a Iwata Silver Jet compressor with no tank for MORE MONEY and it is complete trash compared to this beauty. Now the 1 gal tank is not huge, so after 15-20 minutes of airbrushing it is going to kick on to build the pressure back up. This is not a problem since it wont vibrate your work area or create a lot of sound. This probably wont fill your car tires quickly, this probably wont be great for doing a full job involving trim or staples. I have no experience using it for those purposes, BUT THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, INFINITELY BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MODELING AIRBRUSH (unless it is magically silent...but is it really worth the extra money?). My current rig includes a Iwata Eclipse CS Airbrush: http://www.amazon.com/Iwata-Medea-Eclipse-Action-Airbrush-Gravity/dp/B000BQKFAI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396296116&sr=8-1&keywords=iwata+eclipse Image Dual Action Airbrush ($17 chrome airbrush...its good for a quick color): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0065ALBSO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Craft Airbrush Spray Booth (UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME, YOU NEED IT!!!) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ZH7RSM/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Senco 1 Gal Compressor (THIS ONE) Darice Airbrush Holder http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GXBXY4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Airbrush Depot Regulator (this attaches to the holder mentioned above and allows you to change the air pressure at your work station. This way you can keep the compressor as far away as you like. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00171BFKK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hope this helps!

First let me start off by saying that I am not being paid by anyone for this review. Im just an artist from the Nashville area and believe that, if you find a good deal you should share the info. I needed a compressor for airbrushing and considered ALL the options. Like many folks, noise/ volume was an issue. I liked the design of a smaller sized airbrush style compressor, combined with an air tank. I considered other manufacturers but, again, as with many folks, price was an issue as well. Anyway, after weighing all the options, and I do mean ALL. I decided to go with the Senco PC1010 and I couldnt be happier with my choice. This little unit runs and performs like a champ! The first time I turned it on in our apartment, I had it sitting on my workbench and my wife and I were able to carry on a conversation in normal speaking voice and we were both sitting less than two feet away from the compressor. Im telling you, if youre looking for a small, quiet compressor and dont want to spend big money, I personally do not think you could do ANY better than this little Senco. I did make one modification to mine. I replaced the regulator with one that has a built in moisture trap. Cheers!

I purchased this model based on web search results showing it to be the quietest (69dB) small (1 CFM) air compressor on the market, and generally high satisfaction of other owners. It is indeed very quiet, well made, and lightweight. Ive mounted this compressor in an acoustic chamber that I designed to further reduce the noise, and it is now as quiet as the super silent compressors used for indoor craftwork (airbrushing) that cost $600 to $1000 (49dB). At this further muffled sound level, I can operate the unit all day long sitting next to me without discomfort. I highly recommend this model for indoor craft work. Ive used mine for 40 to 50 hours and had no troubles, but feel this unit will hold up for a long time. I will use this in my home for a few hours per day.

Im an aging finish carpenter. My younger colleague showed up with this cute compressor to run his pin nailer for a kitchen cabinet crown installation and it seemed to do fine. So I bought one to save my aching body some of the pains of portage. I figured that since Im a guy whose colleagues have always teased about doing damn nice work---and not much of it, it would be perfect for my slow pace and intricate work. However, handy as it was to lug on site, it didnt seem to keep up very well, possibly due to a leak I could not locate. It also seemed to make a very tinny sound when running --- I kept feeling like Id discover a loose fastener somewhere in the motor! Anyway, I didnt spend the little money involved for the privilege of doing detective/mechanic work, so I returned it and looked into other options. Glad I did! Bostitch offers a similarly designed model with only slightly greater size and weight, but twice the technical specs across the board. I bought Bostitch Trim Air (model CAP1512‑OF) for about $120 at Menards. (Oddly, this in-store price was much better than any I could find online!) Absolutely great little compressor, readily keeping pace with my pin nailer and my Senco Finish Pro 41 finish gun. These little compressors kick on a lot by design (tiny tank), but this one really gets the job done. BTW, the young guy who bought --- and is generally happy with --- Senco PC1010says he wished he had found the Bostitch before he bought the Senco. And FYI, this current review is from a professional carpenter who has stuck with Senco for all air guns for four decades. BUY BOSTITCH CAP1512-OF.

Bought this unit to replace a cheap compressor that failed after a couple years. I mainly use it for brad-nailing, but have also used it for some paint spraying (it is underpowered for that - no surprise). Overall it works very well, seems to be high quality, and is somewhat quieter than my old compressor. I like it a lot. The only (very minor) complaint I have is that the drain valve is not centered on the bottom so I have to tilt the compressor when I drain it. Not sure why they did that - maybe to allow more ground clearance. Not a big deal - just slightly awkward.
