> 3 dayThis air compressor is incredibly compact, sturdy, reliable and above all QUIET!!!! I bought the smallest compressor Lowes hardware had to offer (Blue Hawk 2gal) to check the volume against this one and this compressor is noticeably more quiet. If you have small air projects or you are a modeling enthusiast, BUY THIS COMPRESSOR! I originally bought a Iwata Silver Jet compressor with no tank for MORE MONEY and it is complete trash compared to this beauty. Now the 1 gal tank is not huge, so after 15-20 minutes of airbrushing it is going to kick on to build the pressure back up. This is not a problem since it wont vibrate your work area or create a lot of sound. This probably wont fill your car tires quickly, this probably wont be great for doing a full job involving trim or staples. I have no experience using it for those purposes, BUT THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, INFINITELY BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MODELING AIRBRUSH (unless it is magically silent...but is it really worth the extra money?). My current rig includes a Iwata Eclipse CS Airbrush: http://www.amazon.com/Iwata-Medea-Eclipse-Action-Airbrush-Gravity/dp/B000BQKFAI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396296116&sr=8-1&keywords=iwata+eclipse Image Dual Action Airbrush ($17 chrome airbrush...its good for a quick color): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0065ALBSO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Craft Airbrush Spray Booth (UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME, YOU NEED IT!!!) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ZH7RSM/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Senco 1 Gal Compressor (THIS ONE) Darice Airbrush Holder http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GXBXY4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Airbrush Depot Regulator (this attaches to the holder mentioned above and allows you to change the air pressure at your work station. This way you can keep the compressor as far away as you like. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00171BFKK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hope this helps!

> 3 dayBought this unit to replace a cheap compressor that failed after a couple years. I mainly use it for brad-nailing, but have also used it for some paint spraying (it is underpowered for that - no surprise). Overall it works very well, seems to be high quality, and is somewhat quieter than my old compressor. I like it a lot. The only (very minor) complaint I have is that the drain valve is not centered on the bottom so I have to tilt the compressor when I drain it. Not sure why they did that - maybe to allow more ground clearance. Not a big deal - just slightly awkward.

> 3 dayThis is a very small capacity compressor for intermittent air demand. I mostly use it in my home woodshop for running a brad nailer. It does that very well. And I use it to clear dust from my projects for gluing, etc. Its very good for adding a few pounds of air to a car tire. Compared with many compressors, it is very quiet. Its also incredibly light and portable. Seems to be of good quality. No leaks. It will fire a few nails from a large framing nailer, then needs to recharge. For around my home, I like it a lot.

> 3 dayThis is one of my favorite tool purchases of ALL time. I love this thing. I needed it for a specific project and it worked like a charm. Now I keep finding more and more uses for it. This is not a framing compressor, it doesnt have the power to drive large nails. But it does an excellent job for finishing work and small nail projects. We also bought a stapler gun for a upholstery projects and it works great. I got an attachment for putting air in the tires of the lawn tractor and kids bikes and it works perfectly. Very handy to have right there in the garage.

> 3 dayTHIS IS MY SECOND SENCO COMPRESSOR, THE FIST ONE I MODIFIED TO FIT MY NEEDS, OVER TIME A LEAK OCCURRED THAT I COULD NOT IDENTIFY DUE TO THE MODIFICATION I MADE ( LET ME BE CLEAR, NOT A FAULT OF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT.) THE NOISE FACTOR IS VERY MINIMAL, NOT EVER CLOSE TO ALL THE OTHER COMPRESSORS I HAVE OWNED. I MIGHT AD THAT THIS IS A LIMITED USE ITEM, IF YOU NEED A LONG -USE COMPRESSOR FOR CONSTANT VOLUME IT MAY FALL SHORT, HOWEVER IT DOES RECHARGE ITS PRESSER SOMEWHAT RAPIDLY. IF YOU NEED CONSTANT PRESSURE FOR LARGE JOBS THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.

Greater than one weekI like the concept and the stellar reviews, mine worked for 2 days and then developed a terrible noise at the end of the pump cycle in the motor fan area. I have requested a refund and will return it. I am very disappointed with this purchase. UPDATE: I could not decide on any other brand or model besides this compressor so I thought I would try to fix this one before boxing it up for the return. I knew where the noise came from so I removed the 3 screws that hold the motor end cap on where the fan is. With that off, I could see the plastic fan had slipped on the motor shaft and was scrapping against the cover. I pushed the fan in on the shaft to where I thought it should be. With a small wrench and screw driver I tightened the 2 screws. There is a plastic tab that wont let you over-tighten it. Put it back together and no noise. Seems to be working fine now.

10-06-2025Bought this, was super pleased with it. Works great for running a brad nailer or a stapler. Wont keep up with a framing gun, but I didnt expect it to. Runs quiet enough to have a normal volume conversation next to. But heres the kicker: I bought a similar Blue Hawk compressor from Lowes just recently that runs quieter, weighs less, ALSO keeps up pretty well with a framing gun, and came with a trim stapling gun, coil hose and all the necessary attachments... For significantly less. So this Senco is not a bad investment by any means of youre looking for something to run trim without the hassle of a big noisy compressor, but its still not the best deal Ive found.

> 3 dayI have been a cabinet maker by trade for over ten years. After I install cabinets, I have to put up crown molding and shoe trim. This is where the PC1010 comes in. Considering the capacity and power level of this compressor, I should only run a nailer or stapler on this. Another way to look at it is that you should only use tools that consume air momentarily. One guy I work with didnt follow this advice and burned mine up by forcing it to run nonstop with a leaky air hose. Make sure your hose doesnt leak, its 1/2hp! I loved it so much I ordered another one right away. As long as you work within the limits of this tool you will be rewarded with something that is ultra portable, and so quiet you can stand right next to it and talk at normal volume. Ive never heard a compressor that is even remotely this quiet. In my business we have three different sizes of portable compressors for various applications, most of the time we grab this because the 23ga pin nailer and 18ga brad gun covers most of our installation needs. People are always amazed by the noise level. The live demonstrations of my installs have probably sold 50 of these. Youre welcome Senco.

> 3 dayPros: Looks nice Lightweight Quiet good quality low power draw Cons: Its seriously useless unless all you need it to do is inflate tires Small tank very long recycle time The motor was getting hot after just a couple cycles in 60 deg ambient temp oil-less design (for some this might be a good thing) I already have a large dual pump 30 gal air compressor. When i purchased this one, i was looking for the smallest USEFUL portable compressor that is not noisy. Maybe i was expecting too much from this little compressor, i guess it was too good to be true. I bought it for a finishing project but when i tested with my 15ga ridgid nailer, the motor would kick in after 4-5 nails and it would run for about a minute. In my book thats bad even for the occasional user, let alone a contractor. Keep in mind that the maximum duty on this is 50% so if you use it at 100% (because it can barely keep up), it will not last. I ended up also purchasing a Makita MAC700 and while the price is higher, its a night and day difference. The Makita is heavier but still portable. As far as air throughput and recycle time the Makita runs circles around this one. The Makita is just as silent and is an oiled design so it should last more as well. For the price of this compressor I was initially thinking of keeping both the Makita and this one. But then I tried coming up with a reason to keep it and couldnt find one. The super long recycle time is what killed the deal for me. For the Makita I also hooked up a 5 gal external portable tank to improve surge capability but when i tried that with the senco, the recharge time was abismal.
