> 3 dayThis is a very small capacity compressor for intermittent air demand. I mostly use it in my home woodshop for running a brad nailer. It does that very well. And I use it to clear dust from my projects for gluing, etc. Its very good for adding a few pounds of air to a car tire. Compared with many compressors, it is very quiet. Its also incredibly light and portable. Seems to be of good quality. No leaks. It will fire a few nails from a large framing nailer, then needs to recharge. For around my home, I like it a lot.

> 3 dayPros: Looks nice Lightweight Quiet good quality low power draw Cons: Its seriously useless unless all you need it to do is inflate tires Small tank very long recycle time The motor was getting hot after just a couple cycles in 60 deg ambient temp oil-less design (for some this might be a good thing) I already have a large dual pump 30 gal air compressor. When i purchased this one, i was looking for the smallest USEFUL portable compressor that is not noisy. Maybe i was expecting too much from this little compressor, i guess it was too good to be true. I bought it for a finishing project but when i tested with my 15ga ridgid nailer, the motor would kick in after 4-5 nails and it would run for about a minute. In my book thats bad even for the occasional user, let alone a contractor. Keep in mind that the maximum duty on this is 50% so if you use it at 100% (because it can barely keep up), it will not last. I ended up also purchasing a Makita MAC700 and while the price is higher, its a night and day difference. The Makita is heavier but still portable. As far as air throughput and recycle time the Makita runs circles around this one. The Makita is just as silent and is an oiled design so it should last more as well. For the price of this compressor I was initially thinking of keeping both the Makita and this one. But then I tried coming up with a reason to keep it and couldnt find one. The super long recycle time is what killed the deal for me. For the Makita I also hooked up a 5 gal external portable tank to improve surge capability but when i tried that with the senco, the recharge time was abismal.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace the original one I bought 12 years ago that was still working perfect it was abused and showing signs of neglect. The compressor is super quite light weight and durable I use it weekly take it right into the customers homes to do work. I was so happy when I found the same compressor I had for 12 years with not one issue.

> 3 dayI always wondered if the people that write one star reviews are just disgruntled idiots who dont really know how to use the tool they are complaining about....well know I lnow thats not the case! Let me start by saying I have now owned 4 of these compressors. This exact one the Senco PC1010 the first one I owned worked with out issue for 1 year the other three have never made it past 4 months.I am a professional refacer of cabinets and I use this with a 23 gauge pin nailer.Average use is 5 to 8 days a month. They just arnt made to last.I am careful with my tools and keep in the house and clean. The three have all had different issues, but today takes the cake..Im done. The two I had at the job site house both quit working properly with in 1 hour of each other. Compressor no.1 would fully fill its tank and the gauges read 125 psi but after 4 or 5 pins there was no more air being distributed from the compressor. So that one was done ! We tried letting it cool down for several hours ...still the same thing.Compressor no.2 would run until it got to 125 psi then on its own let out air back to 100psi.then after one 23 gauge pin nail it would start running g again and start the cycle all over.this is not pro gear not even weekend warrior quality. It has major production and quality flaws and should be recalled.By the way compressor no.3 back at the shop started doing the cycling itself to fill and then release all the air even with out firing pins ,just does it endlesslyover and over..what junk.I have switched to Makita. Not sure who is writing all these good reviews, but would you want to roll the dice on 3 different compressors taking a dump bought at 3 different times over the course of a year...not me ! Learn from my issues stay away from this product.

> 3 dayOK, a little play on words there, but the truth is that this small compressor is great.Know what you are buying, and then rate it from that point of view. Ive seen people here say that this Senco is too small, lacks enough reserve air so it doesnt keep starting to recycle, and all sorts of other comments which show they have no idea of what they are talking about. You dont buy a Prius, or a Smart Car, to use as a tow truck, and you dont buy a small compressor like this to run roofing or framing guns. Thats just flat out dumb.I have a large, very heavy, twin tank Emglo compressor for that, which Ive owned for almost 20 years, with no issues at all.I bought this Senco for small jobs, where I just need a regular trim gun, or my brad nailer.I have already used this to trim out a small renovation, and it was perfect to attach extension jambs, baseboards, and casing. It is quiet as could be, and so light and compact that it was a breeze to put in my truck, and move around inside the job site. The smaller Makita compressor really isnt this small, and its very heavy. The Porter Cable pancake compressors are alot bulkier and really noisy as hell. However, if you need to run more than one gun at a time, or to do alot of continous nailing, they are probably a better choice. This Senco really isnt designed for, or well suited to heavy production trim crews in my opinion. However,I couldnt be happier with this purchase for MY NEEDS. The moral of this: IF YOU WANT A FRAMING COMPRESSOR,OR A PRODUCTION TOOL,BUY A LARGER HEAVY DUTY COMPRESSOR.IF YOU WANT A SMALL, LIGHT, EASY TO CARRY TRIM COMPRESSOR FOR SMALL JOBS, BUY THIS LITTLE SENCO UNIT. BTW, the trim guns that I own are also Sencos, and Ive had them for about 20 years too. Never a problem with either one.Ive heard good things about the new Hitachi guns and I may get one of them because it can use 2 1/2 inch nails, where my Senco only goes up to 2 inch.Ive used Bostitch guns before, and I really dislike them immensely. Lots of misfires and jams. I have been a carpenter for 35 years, and a Union Carpenter for 25. Ive had experience using virtually every brand of compressor and nail gun on the market. It sure helps to be able to actually try it out before you buy something.I hope this will help someone else make sensible choices for their needs.

> 3 dayEverything about this product looks Top quality, from the craftsmanship, to the parts used... this should be the last air compressor I buy; should take care of all my needs... I purchased for my plasma cutter (worked great!) If your looking for a small, QUIET & trustworthy compressor, & want piece of mind, then I highly recommend this one! My pc is almost as loud as this compressor... your average box fan is substantially louder! I could run this in the living room, right beside the TV, & no-one would bat an eye, seriously!

Greater than one weekI bought this for only two tasks: filling tires and blowing out dust from my computer. It works very well for both. My main problem is for tires as the tank depletes so quickly and takes a good bit to fill all the way up. However this is in no way a design or function problem of this air compressor, it is solely based on the tank size is small, which I knew when I bought it. Since I do not need to fill my tires up in 30 seconds or my car will explode, it is not the end of the world if I have to wait a few minutes for the tank to fill up. I can generally fill one tire with the tank at full and then have to wait for it to pressurize all the way back up before the next tire. Still, seeing as it works for what I wanted and has always worked when I use it, I am happy with my purchase and would probably repurchase or might opt for a minimum of a 2 gallon on the next purchase.

> 3 dayGreat for small jobs, trim work, and when you dont want to lug a big compressor around. Suitable for baseboard and casing installation too. The only weakness Ive found is that the check valve failed within two years. Its a $16 part so not a huge deal but I have other compressors that have been cranking for 10 years without any repair parts needed. Its so small and light. Love it despite the necessary repair.

> 3 dayGreat for small nails and staples. Easy to carry around, more punch than I thought possible for 2 nails into harder woods like oak.

> 3 dayThis is very quiet and will run a finish and brad nailed perfectly.so small and easily moveable it is fantastic.this is my new second favorite compressor brand the best is Castair.if you want a compressor that will last 20 years buy castair.they sell directly and they are very well priced. And American made.this one looks to be made in Taiwan at least the motor is anyway.rest of it looks like American parts.Taiwan is better than chinese.dewalt, porter cable, craftsman,Hitachi all made in china.senco makes a great unit for a very reasonable price.highly recommended!
