SENNHEISER HD 599 Open Back Headphone, Ivory

Great sounding headphones from the alway reliable Sennheiser. Using to watch TV, and they dont disappoint. Crystal clear clarity with the volume hovering round the 25 area for majority of media types. Luxuriously comfortable too.

Seinnheiser (sp?) usually has great sound quality, but these were a disappointment. Now I understand why they were marked for such a low deal. Returned!

Getting rid of the poofy HD598 headband design has somehow made these HD599s more comfortable. The HD599 keeps the energetic (and bass light) sound of the HD598. These are great for live sports, video games, and to a lesser extent, music. Most comfortable headphones I own. My HD650 technically sounds better (and for music, it plainly does sound better and voices are more natural), but for a fun energetic sound, optimal comfort, and the convenience of a single earcup cable, I tend to grab these more often than not.

Bought it for my son. He prefer open headphones and I have the HD 598 that is very similar. Great quality headphones.

Im not an audiophile or anything, Im not using a DAC, I just have them plugged into my front audio jack and they sound great. Very comfortable too I often wear them for hours at a time with no issues. Got them at a discount during Prime Week and was very happy with the value for $.

For the price rage: Its unbeatable.

The best set of headphones I’ve ever owned. I use these for gaming since I have an external mic. Sound is crisp and clear. No muddy bass or distorted highs.

The sound is good but not great. I found the fit quite loose when bending forward as it tends to slip position on the ear.
