Good worker …we named our little helper, Vern, he has been a nice addition to the family and certainly listen fairly well. Our largest concern has been the mapping of the house, Vern gets confused too often based on what he is capable of. I clean out the filters at least weekly if not more often, we don’t have pets so must of the debris is general dust. The problem with the mapping seems that once I approve the map that does look correct and then I create and label rooms is when Vern looses his mind. Apparently he doesn’t like specific orders, just general orders:). I send Vern to clean the kitchen and he’s doing a completely different room. I send him to clean the entryway and he’s right on it. It’s very confusing how some rooms he understands and most he doesn’t. We did a factory reset on Vern which was concerning as the family had grown to appreciate his efforts and we were afraid maybe an alter ego would come out… safe to say, the new Vern seems to be on top of the mapping this time. We are hoping this will continue and we regret not purchasing and adopting Vern sooner in our lives. Well worth the purchase and I think with a few tweaks or firmware updates from Shark that Vern will move right up into a 5 star category.

Started to make a loud noise after using it about 5 times. Looked online and followed possible resolutions to clean out dust bin, check wheels etc., but, did not correct problem. I was satisfied with performance until this occurred.

I got it at a large discount and I like the self-emptying feature, so 3 stars. The cleaning performance and coverage are OK, about the same as my 1st generation roomba. The smart features are designed terribly. The creepy eye with an internet connection is a privacy concern and is useless for mapping. Why do you try to map walls while its so much easier to map the working area? You could use cheap ultrasonic radars for that. That would also allow to discover obstacles without bumping into or climbing onto them. When it tries to run over my bare foot, that actually hurts a bit. The map is not utilized for route optimization: robot keeps bumping into walls and ignoring doorways even after it has mapped out the room. It wastes battery while doing that. The docking algorithm is ridiculous - docking can take up to 3 minutes. It cannot climb the raised front edge of its own docking mat.

I have a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepard and it cleans up their fur really well on all hard surfaces. There’s never ANY dust or fur visible on the hard floor, the vacuum is ran once a day on a schedule. As you can imagine, carpet can be difficult to get fur out of for most vacuums. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say that it cleans up 90%-95% of the fur on the carpet. That’s actually really impressive with how much my dogs shed year round. The mapping took some time but once we figured out how to do it properly, it’s been working great! The house is 2,400sqft and it does have to stop one time during cleaning to recharge but it returns to exactly where it left off and finishes the rest of the house. The reason it has to recharge is likely due to it being on the highest suction mode, which is awesome that there is even an option for that. Couldn’t recommend this vacuum enough, it’s drastically lessened cleaning time throughout the week. Also, it’s nice to come home to vacuum lines in the carpet every day that I don’t have to spend time on. The bagless empty on the home base is an awesome feature as well. Just be mindful not to have it run at night because the vacuum on the home base is loud when it pulls everything out of the robot, as it should be. It does a great job at pulling everything out and the loud suction only lasts a couple of seconds. Just know that it may wake you up if you’re asleep. 10/10 recommend, absolutely worth every dime.

I had an ilife V3 pro and my dogs (one short hair one long) killed it before we moved to a house with carpeting. I wanted a vac that could handle pets and carpet. This one does... OK. Not great, not bad. It cant do the cleaning of a full powered vac but is nice for days in between a good cleaning. It does work on carpet, not great but good. Hardwood and tile is just fine. As for the no tangle feature? I cant tell if it actually works or not as every day I get notifications that something has gone wrong and have to pull the sweeper bar out and detangle it. To me? Its worth the money, but has room for improvement. It does a great job of coverage and do love the catch bin. Battery life is good and love that if I set it to max power, it stays there. The app is easy to use, but the error messages tend to be vague. took me forever to figure out error 2 (an obstruction underneath). I thought it meant the lenses for ledges or obstacles. Instead it meant the beater bar was clogged.

What a great piece of engineering. Fascinating what they’ve done with miniaturizing the drives and components, not to mention the programming. Truly impressive

This Shark robot vacuum is a game changer and I love it! When I come home the last thing I feel like doing is vacuuming and this vac runs while Im away. My place remains clean despite the efforts of my two cats. Ive had this vac for nearly a year and Ive been regularly cleaning and maintaining its removable parts on a weekly basis. It keeps my place clean and vacuums in a nice predicable path, hardly ever getting trapped in a room or on a rug. I notice today however that theres oxidative growth over both charging plates. For the past few months Ive noticed that the vacuum cleaner will turn itself on at night in order to re-adjust itself on the charging base. I wonder if this new behavior is due to the corrosion. I will contact Shark and post updates here. Other than that, I have no issues and I love this vac.
