> 3 dayI purchased this lens primarily for bird photography and mounted on a Nikon D7500 body. I have been very pleased with the purchase. I have had this lens for six months and so far all of my photos are taken hand-held. Almost exclusively I shoot aperture priority with most, but not all, shots taken using the maximum aperture for the selected focal length – ranging f5 at 150mm to f6.3 at 600mm – because I usually want a narrow depth of field to isolate the bird. I have found the auto focus and image stabilization of the lens to be very good. Unless I am unsteady with the shot I find the photos to be sharp; tack sharp I just don’t know where, exactly, that starts. The lens build seems good to me and I also like the hard lock feature at 150mm and soft lens lock available at the marked focal lengths.

Greater than one weekThis lens has changed my wifes photography. It is in a word spectacular. Its a big lens but easy to shoot and handle even without a tripod.

> 3 dayOnly wish it was lighter - it does tire one carrying it when attached and a stable platform is needed for shooting. I found my tripod to be a bit springy and would recommend buying a professional standard one if using this. Used handheld for an airshow (Red Arrows) and resting on a fence for wading birds (heron - cropped photo - taken in misty conditions on dull day).

> 3 dayGood value for money. However, the autofocus is not very prompt and the manual focus ring could have been thicker. Overall a nice lens.
