Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens for Sony E

This 1st generation model is far superior to the newer second generation model. I got this lens used and almost brand new condition from a amazon seller . Unlike the second generation versions of this mount the lens is a breeze with no communication errors. The focus so far has been quick and flawless . And it does have nice bokke , but not as extreme as the second gen versions that it this lens would make a nice portrait lens. I had bought and returned two second gen versions of this lens both defective . Its amazing what you can do with correctly assemble lens . It worth the time and effort to find a new or used 1st generation model like this, the second generation are crap.

Initial Thoughts:

Leider ist ein kleiner Metallspan auf der inneren Seite der rückwärtigen Linse. Eine Reklamation war mir bisher zu lästig, auch weil ich die Auswirkungen auf die Bildqualität als eher gering einschätze - sollte aber nicht sein!

Image quality is on par with the sigma trio. Only issue I had was the time it takes for the af to catch up, and the amount of noise it makes. Motor is pretty loud and can be heard in videos. Other than that it is a nice addition to my zv-e10 :)

Très universel en DX. Ma permis de faire des photos de bonne facture lors dun voyage en orient, monté sur lalpha 55.

I wanted a street photography lens for low light conditions and for interior portraits and this lens is brilliant. It has lovely bokeh and works perfectly on my Sony a6000. Nice solid build, lens hood comes with it. May never take it off the camera! Excellent results of night time light shots and pets. The photos here have been uploaded as small so quality maybe compromised but originals are tack sharp.

Das Sigma kam heute erst an und wurde umgehend an die E-PL2 gestöpselt und in die Stadt ausgeführt. Diese Eindrücke sind also ganz frisch! Fotografiert wurde überwiegend mit offener Blende.

I bought this lens for a Panasonic Lumix G7, under the impression the lens was compatible due to mounting system (Micro 4/3) and after receiving the lens, this is not the case. The purchase was made after talking with a Sigma rep and confirmed the Model Number of my camera. I now have a $270 paperweight
