> 3 dayThis is an easier solution than the Apple option. It let me use the NVMe SSD I already owned and was easy to install. The only downside was with a full length SSD card, the slot to secure the bracket can’t be reached.

> 3 dayLike the header says, wow what a difference. I had 75-85 on the blacklabs program and when I switched it over to this part and an old achi 256gb ssd equals 750 throughput. Why doesn’t everybody change this out on their old 2014 Mac mini. This went from a dead dog to a computer that is ready for another couple of years. Sure it’s only been an hour but what a difference.

> 3 dayThis is the third adapter I have gotten and it didn’t work. These things happen and since I knew the m.2 SSD was good I just returned it with a request for a replacement and in two days it arrived. This is the best and easiest way to upgrade this model of Mac Mini. It literally a 10-minute job.

Greater than one weekI installed an Intel 545 SATA SSD on the Mac Mini initially and has been wondering how much difference a PCIe version will make. The PCIe bus on the Mac Mini is only 2.0x2, which max out at 1000MBps. The first 2 photos are Micro Center 256GB PCIe SSD speed tests on the Mac and on a Intel NUC with 3.0x4 PCIe bus. The third one is an Intel SATA SSD on the same Mac. In real life usage, apps do load faster.

> 3 dayThe Sintech M.2 NGFF NVMe SSD Card is great quality adapter, that was easy to install. The best thing about this adapter is the included screw and screwdriver. The screw does a good job of holding the SSD in place. This fit nicely in a Mac Mini, took minutes to install.

> 3 dayThe adapter works great. The only problem is the screws that come with it dont work well. I ended up just using the adhesive. The screws need to be longer and a spacer should be added for the screw that attaches the card (adapter) to the internal component (Mac Mini 2014) for people that dont want to use the adhesive.

> 3 dayDo this for increased internal storage. Easy to do, check YouTube for tutorials…worth the investment of time and money.
