> 3 dayI havent run any tests, I may do that later. Anecdotally at least I can say that the performance is great and a much needed upgrade coming from a 2tb hdd. Ive had several hard drives and I have never had a pleasent experience with using them. Theyre bulky, can make noise and really bad noise if theyre old or get slightly damaged, and slow. The only benefit they have is that theyre cheap and I guess if you want to destroy the data on it theyre easy to break. Im done using hdds after Ive gone through 3 within ~5 years and none of them have been great—one of them was a cheap refurbished one so you could argue that one doesnt count. They all continued to work, but they definitely slowed down over quite a bit overtime/once nearing full, and all of them have developed a horrible scraping noise they all sounded like they were on their way out, Im not sure if moving my PC slightly has damaged the disk somehow or what, but all of them were noisy either out of the box or after some use. This ssd is silent (no moving parts, so makes sense), fast, and has little to no impact from storage space getting near full. Most noticable benefit frlm switching to this ssd is how fast the windows 10 UI is and navigating the start menu such as searching for files or anything software related is a breeze compared to how it was prior.

> 3 dayIts a really good drive and super easy to install. If youre still using regular solid state or hard drives definitely consider upgrading to this or another M.2 NVME

> 3 dayBeware! Their after-sale service is horrible/non-existent. The SSD I bought started malfunctioning after Amazons 30-day return period and after I contacted SK Hynix, they kept asking me to contact Amazon (!). Once I contacted Amazon, Amazon said its not common to return after 30 days and it will have a restocking fee. I reached out to SK Hynix again and then they started giving me a run-around again until I gave up after 7 back-and-forth emails.

> 3 dayIm not sure of why, but OWC confirmed that this SSD will not work in their Thunderbolt external enclosure. OWC didnt do a good job of disclosing this in their product page, but when I installed the SSD into the enclosure, my iMac was not able to see it. This might be a great SSD for internal use, but Mac users should look elsewhere if they want a bootable drive.

Greater than one weekBought this for additional storage to be used solely for PC gaming on my Lenovo computer. Its last gen (gen 3) but when I bought it gen 4 stuff was pretty hard to come by and far more expensive. For the money it has been totally worth it. I have played Skyrim...with mods...and recently Halo Infinite and load times are quick. I decided against a heatsink after watching a few videos where they tested and felt that it wasnt really necessary, I believe because last gen tech doesnt run as hot. Plus, my Lenovo has lots of mesh, 2 intakes fans, and 2 exhaust fans and is located in an open air space. Ive never had any freezes due to overheating so it appears to be fine.

> 3 dayWe have installed six of these SSDs in external disk enclosures and they have been running flawlessly. The SSDs run at max speed up to 23GB written and then slow down to the memories native speed. For our use we can recommend the SK hynix P31 SSDs for their speed and reliability.
