Greater than one weekThis light switch was easy to install but not because of the instructions. With some prep work on YouTube was able to figure everything out. Absolutely must check your house wiring before you even purchase it. Make sure you have a neutral line. Hold down the power button for about 5 seconds after it’s installed, that’s when the light for the WiFi begins to blink. Use the app to add it and In my case Alexa found it as soon as I added it to the SmartLife App. Works perfectly, I am very satisfied. Already ordered a couple of more and once those are in a final round to finish my entire house with these light switches. Would like to see one without any WiFi features because in my home multiple switches control the same light and would like to change those to have an uniform look.

> 3 daythe wires coming with it is super short, so it makes the installation a disaster. Other than that, it is a great product

17-11-2024I really like these for my exterior light switches. I can set a timer when they come on at night and turn off in the morning. That way no one knows when your out of town by just leaving them on our of the whole time out of town which gives me peace of mind.

Greater than one weekThe store was not to cooperative as these are only listed on the USA (.com) indicates on Canada (.ca)site in a month. Store said order it on .com. So you will pay duty. The switch is made of plastic including the mounting portion of the switch so don’t tighten to tight or it will crack. Also switch is slightly larger then cover plate. So have file the cover plate. Switch requires a hard push for the switch to operate and must be pressed on the power light. . Works with smart Life, Alexa and google home. Switch mounting holes are one horizontal one vertical so can not adjust so it fits in the cover plate with mutable switches.

> 3 dayNeeding a white (neutral) wire was the first challenge. Single pole light switches do not have a white wire attached to them. So for starters you need to reconfigure the white wire to attach to the wifi switch. Once i had it properly powered I could not get it to pair to my network. I tried many times and it would not recognize my wifi network. My friend noticed one of the Amazon pictures said the password couldnt use symbols. I had read somewhere that it couldnt use Chinese symbols. My wifi password has symbols. I wasnt about to change it and screw every other device in the house. I have a secondary network without symbols in the password. I used it and the paring went smoothly. What a ridiculous thing not to accept passwords with symbols. What modern password doesnt have symbols!! It paired with Alexa smoothly.

> 3 dayAmazon Devices said its a third-party app so they cant help me. Finally after reaching somebody at normal customer support, I was given a contact support email for the manufacturer, wish I was told has an 80% success rating which is pretty good. I emailed but before I get a response, I called my internet service and he created a split so that I could connect the app to 2.4 GHz which is what it requires. Works now

> 3 dayThese are very easy to install with basic understanding of electrical work. I used them to take place of a couple of 3 way switches by disconnecting the second switch and using the third wire for the load wire running into the light. This did away with the second switch but it was no longer needed with the voice control anyway.

> 3 dayLove the product. I’ve now bought three of them (6 switches total). Once you understand the setup process, it’s easy and takes 10 minutes to install and setup. It would be nice to be able to dim or turn off the blue wifi/power indicator light built inside the switch. It’s nice that it’s there so you can find the light switch in the dark, but if you install it in your bedroom, it’s a bit too bright. It lights up my bedroom blue and I find it to be a distraction when trying to sleep. I think I will maybe try and find a way to tint the switch a darker color so it’s not so bright.

> 3 dayAfter using this for a day or two, I realized its not perfect. The pretty blue light is a nightmare at night. I finally had to take some dark colored duck tape and tape both sides under the face plate just so I could sleep. I still love it and it still works even with the duck tape but something has to be done about the light. Maybe it could go way dark, as in almost invisible in the dark and remain brightly lit during daylight hours, like a solar light in reverse? Previous review: I love this thing! I can now tell Alexa to turn off my ceiling fan when I get cold in the middle of the night and never leave my bed. Plus, I didnt have to disassemble my fan to install a remote sensor. I installed this wall switch in about 45 minutes. It only took me that long because I had to google some of the terms to make sure I was doing it right. The instructions the seller sent by email when I ordered it were more helpful than the ones that came with it, especially the wiring diagram. And yes, I have two wifi plugs. I also have a motion sensored light switch in my laundry room. I installed it several years ago when my elderly mother moved in with me. I didnt want her stumbling around in a dark room and fall while looking for the light switch. I am a 68-year old woman who has never had any instruction in construction. Aint technology grand! Have no idea how long this thing will last since my house is susceptible to electrical surges but Im loving it now and will probably replace it when the lightning gets it. And hopefully, I can buy some more for other switches. All hail, Alexa! One thing, this double switch actually fits in the electrical box. The first one I bought did not even though it was advertised as such. Make sure you look at the photos and read the descriptions to be certain its going to fit in the box where you plan to install it. Plus, no grimy fingerprints; just wipe them off!

> 3 dayThese switches MUST BE WIRED EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES SHOW in the instructions. Most standard light switches are NOT wired as these require. You MUST have a white neutral, black hot in and black load wire to get them to even turn on. The instructions are very clear and as long as you can find all of the wires in the wall and add a jumper to the switch, you can complete the job. Wi-Fi requires 2.4 GHz, and does not support 5.0. Considering the amount of data sent to and from the switch and that 2.4 penetrates walls better, this is preferred. Ensure you are searching for and trying to connect to a 2.4 Ghz network. The unit has a WiFi indicator that will blink when in pairing mode. It MUST BLINK RAPIDLY TO CONNECT. However, it can also blink Quickly but will not connect. Ensure it is blinking RAPIDLY The app is very feature rich and will take some time to understand and set up but does afford a lot of control over the switch.
