The Smoke Buddy is great if you dont plan on using it very often. The handheld filter is about the size of a baseball and works extremely well to capture exhaled smoke by completely removing any smell. It is a bit more straining than simply exhaling to push the exhaled smoke through the filter, so be prepared for a bit of effort. While it does exactly what it is intended to, it cannot be used by a frequent smoker or long term. According to the Smoke Buddy website, the full-sized product will only last for about 300 uses. So, if you smoke a pack a day, youll get about 6 weeks out of it. Unfortunately, this was not listed anywhere in the description for the product and I only discovered this after the device became nearly impossible to blow smoke through. Furthermore, the filter is not washable. Long story short: if you plan on purchasing something as a long-lasting filter, dont buy the Smoke Buddy.

Our Smoke Buddies DEFINITELY get put through the wringer. We are daily users and were a bit worried buying the SB off of Amazon instead of in-store, because of occasional counterfeit/damaged/used items. Turns out that the product is legit and lasted the same amount of time (usually 1-2 weeks) before needing to give it a break (smoke seeping through.) I’d say buying the SB from Amazon is definitely a better option than going in person, the prices are usually jacked up in smoke shops.

I had doubts, however this thing works great.Way way way better than tissue roll and dryer sheets.I also burn scented wax melts. So there is no smell at all.

They do work, they dont last very long, maybe a month if most of youre smoking involves the Smokebuddy. For me I only use it at night, Im the only one who uses and I probably smoke 2-4 bowls before packing it away and I go through 1 in perhaps 2 months. Youll know when its used up because the Smokebuddy will no longer hold the smoke inside. I use this product in conjunction with other methods like, opening the window, positioning a fan toward the window, and of course putting a rolled up towel under the door. My roommates have never once mentioned my smoking and my room doesnt have the tell-tale skunky aroma. Just an FYI though, this product is innefective if you smoke a joint or blunt. Obviously.

I would not recommend sharing these, as the mouthpiece you have to cover to blow the smoke through is very large, and there is a small chamber between the mouthpiece and where the filter starts which very quickly collects moisture and saliva; furthermore this small chamber before the filter will hold a small amount of smoke which will release into the air if you do not first inhale through your nose and exhale a second time through the filter to get the last bit of smoke to go through.

I finally got a chance to test this out last night and I was not dissapointed. It gets the job done much better than the traditional sploof. Though it should be said that if you are blowing cannabis smoke through this there is no way to %100 get rid of the smell only using the smoke buddy, so I highly recomend lighting some incense and blowing the smoke buddy out a window, as well as covering up the bowl your smoking out of so no extra smoke comes off of it. I have also found that if you want to make sure no smoke at all comes out the end, blow the smoke into it nice and slow, otherwise a minimal amount of smoke will come out the end. Overall I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a solid way to stealth smoke.

Got this for my medical pot-head husband he used to used empty toilet paper roll with dryer sheets then switch for a Gatorade empty bottle and fill it with a bunch of dryer sheets it both works, but 1 its too bulky and the other well its paper so it runs out quickly soooo I looked for something a little nicer looking thing and of course smaller but same effectiveness... And found this smoke buddy 1- it does works 2-we still use the dryer sheets in it (for longer lifetime of happiness) 3-house doesnt smell like weed yay!!! 4- and its a nicer looking smoke trapper

I can still smell when my roommate uses it. The odor still floats into my room.

I believe it really helps with scent and smoke reduction but don’t go and think you can use it in your room without people in your house still noticing. The presence and source of the smell will always reek and fill the space. I’d say they last few months with daily moderate use.

I like this better than its main competitor Sploofy because the Smoke Buddy lasts forever. When it finally seems dead you can microwave it for 5-10 seconds and let it cool down and it works again. This trick eventually stops working though. I ended up just making my own with activated carbon and a soda bottle because it was cheaper than buying these products again. You can find activated carbon in the fish supplies aisle of many stores. To make one cut some slits or make some holes in the bottle of the bottle. Stuff a paper towel into the bottom to cover the openings you just made. Pour your activated carbon(avoid the very fine powder, it will blow out the bottom) into the bottle and stop a few inches from the top. Stuff paper towels into the top to prevent the carbon from falling out. Take your hit and blow it into the bottle from the top and you will get a clean smell out the other end. If you have issues with it working well then adjust how compacted the carbon is until it works for you.
