smokebuddy Air Filter, Original

After several days of use, I was informed by my roommates that this product was indeed, not working. I think it certainly helps to an extent, but is not enough to be the singular use of smell daterant. I recommend if buying this product, you use alongside candles, or incense - some other form of smell eradication.

First off I have used anything from dryer sheets rubber banded to the thing toilet paper comes on all the way to going through the trouble of getting a 80 dollar fan coupled with a 100 dollar carbon air filter to try and reduce smoke smell. This thing is basically as good as a big carbon air filter just fits in your hand instead of taking up a whole corner of your room. These smoke buddies last about 25-30 days of daily moderate-heavy use. I wrap my lips around it to get a better seal instead of trying to use it like a brass instrument mouthpiece (lips inside the opening). This keeps the air flow more constant. You can get as big a hit as you can hold and blow through this and you will not see one bit of smoke come out the other side once it goes through the filter. Like i said it fits in an average sized hand well and fits almost any sized lips i can imagine of well. The only down side is they should be more environmentally friendly and screw or pop apart to let you replace the carbon filter with an easy-to-change cartridge instead of making you buy a while new smoke buddy. This would obviously cut down on price and landfill waste, but Ill continue to buy these because they work so well. Only smoke you produce is from whatever you are smoking from.

This thing is great, does what it says it’ll do. Keep in mind whatever your smoking will emit smoke and odors as well. The Smoke Buddy is perfect for the exhale buts that’s it. Update 4/25/2020 Ok, so after some serious smoking since 4/20 I have to update my review. I hit my trees hard and I smoke all day and the Smoke Buddy works to a point. I take fat hits and blow fat clouds and the Standard Size Smoke Buddy isn’t big enough for a man of my size. I’m going to purchase the Smoke Buddy XL because I’m confident it’ll handle larger hits. This thing is still amazing though!

They do work, they dont last very long, maybe a month if most of youre smoking involves the Smokebuddy. For me I only use it at night, Im the only one who uses and I probably smoke 2-4 bowls before packing it away and I go through 1 in perhaps 2 months. Youll know when its used up because the Smokebuddy will no longer hold the smoke inside. I use this product in conjunction with other methods like, opening the window, positioning a fan toward the window, and of course putting a rolled up towel under the door. My roommates have never once mentioned my smoking and my room doesnt have the tell-tale skunky aroma. Just an FYI though, this product is innefective if you smoke a joint or blunt. Obviously.

Compared to the Sploofy brand these are a great deal and do seem to last a good but longer to the Sploofy. I am a daily smoker and one tends to last me between 1 and 2 weeks depending on my overall frequency of usage. My one complaint is the packaging and silly little key chain that is included. I would think they could be offered cheaper if the packaging was modified to be more eco and cost friendly and do away with the silly keychain.

These used to last a lot longer than a month! Lately the sbs I get have been only lasting a month and some get a funky odor. I realize its holding my lung exhaust and depending on what I ate or vaped, it could taint my filters since its only supposed to filter thc.. imo. I remember having a yellow sb and it lasted well over 6 months, maybe thats when you changed the formula, idk. All I know is its getting hard to find a good sploof like the original smokebuddy made in 08 because when I started smoking we didnt have these, used bounty sheets stuffed in a tp roll. I guess my consumption has gone up considerably since then and I medicate through a tall beaker bong. But Im about ready to get a 6 tent fan with a carbon filter and hang it in my room... by the time I buy 10 of these itll pay for itself... hope some of this helps.

This product is seriously amazing!! I live in an apartment complex that doesn’t allow smoking and with this I can pack snaps and blow all the smoke into it and NOTHING seriously nothing comes out. If you’re thinking about getting this just BUY IT it’s worth the money trust me

I was very skeptical if this would actually work. Have no doubts, it really works, and works well. If it starts to act clogged up leave the lid off of it for 24 hours and it will be like brand new. No clue why that works, but it does!

I feel like I would not buy this again long term just to how much waste this makes if I am replacing it every few months. Otherwise It works well - I can smoke my weed pen inside without anyone else knowing. It is also nice for when I am in public areas where I want to be considerate of others. 8/10 product, minus 2 for the amount of landfill waste this generates when your filter is used up.
